what stupid stuff u refer to?
*
ermm.. drive while cursing and pay no regards to others, smoke, hangout with guy friends doing all kinds of worthless stuff like dota, stare at girls, join fights, rempit... etc etc
QUOTE(Jurlique @ Nov 27 2011, 11:20 PM)
Not agree... sometimes in relationship can share expenses or split expenses.
and foreveralone will not be more happy than those got bf/gf... but shit, me now oso foreveralone.
*
split expenses while staying apart no matter what increases as compared to being single.. unless both are able to stay together and share cost then some savings is possible

of course, who wants to be foreveralone but under certain circumstances we have no choice..
QUOTE(keelim @ Nov 28 2011, 12:35 AM)
Speaking of Chap Fan meal, I have an interesting business model to share from my observation in other countries. However, the practicality of this implementation resides with you.
I have seen chap fan that goes by weight, literally. The spread varies from salad, risotto, ribs, vege. So customers get to taste everything. Do expect it to be pricey on a per kg basis. Now the question is, can oriental food be served on a similar idea?
*
other countries is not chap fan/economy rice but more of just having more variety.. when i was US this concept was available in carrs, i always take the food without rice and pay around usd 10... shared among 3 ppl... to an avg of usd 4 with soda and rice... as compared to usd 9 per person if we eat at panda express...

where else in msia of sg it is not workable... unless you charge a lot per 100gm which makes it profitable irregardless what the customer takes... but this would be too exp, which defeats the purpose of 'economic' rice

stupid stuffs are also costly la, last time had gf at least my gf shared expenses.
agree with you, need to stay together if living in sg..
Having gf in sg, I will see how much you can save.

This is one of cons living in sg too.
Be prepared to be forever alone.

But I always think better having gf with good education like girl in sg than kampong girl in hometown.
At least their parents don't ask u for money right? Moreover, she can help u to work and share the expenses unless u are living at Australia when gov pays the housewife AUD 800/month

Not necessary.
Best to ask the counter when you buy tix.
Some have a final stop at diff places....some has extra stops....some get off at immigration (I get off at woodlands  laugh.gif  laugh.gif )
Oooo....never knew that.
*
Where abouts in Woodlands do you stop? it is next to the Woodlands MRT? I work at Sembawang...so Woodlands is only a MRT ride for me. BTW, what coach company that you use?

As for the 02 prefix for Singapore, as I know it, its historical when S'pore was part of M'sia. All states have a prefix, like Selangor, 03; Perak, 05; etc.
+65 is the international dail code like +60 for M'sia.

Another one of your typical sweeping generalizations.

Does this mean Malaysians living and working in Singapore are destined to be bachelors and old maids for life? Tell that to the Malaysians who have settled in Singapore and have families and they will laugh at you.

Yes...u could still dial to singapore via 02 prefix rather than +65....calling rates will be cheaper on the 02

Nope.
I go down at singapore side of the immigration.
There are public buses there to bring u to mrt (kranji, marsiling, woodlands...some further, not sure where) laugh.gif laugh.gif
But since u are going sembawang, 950 is the way since it passes marsiling and ends up at woodlands.
Erm...it has been a long time since i took a coach. sweat.gif sweat.gif

Kampung girls these days are different man. They are as materialistic as city girls if not more so. These days i go kampung and i see young girls with LV bag and prada shoes. Further they are also all looking for that rich guy to marry and want to live the tai-tai lifestyle like they see on TV. Blame it on the media unsure.gif

i can order a bowl of curry chicken rice for $4.5 and share with my wife and we both get full.
in penang...i hardly get full from 1 serving.

Agreed on the Penang food portion size. Price don't increase that much but kns, all the food is kids portion nowadays, hokkien mee or ckt, 3-4 mouthfuls finish liao.

But errrrr $4.50 for curry chicken that can feed 2 ppl? where can you find such thing? even the food court at my hdb basement i need to spent at least $8-$10 to feed 2 ppl satisfactorily.

people are who we perceived them to be.
if by default we have categorized them to be like that...then they are more likely to be that way, especially if we come across just one example (out of the countless number which we are most likely not going to remember as it will not be a lasting image) which will reassure us even more that what we perceived is true.
if we widen our view and clear off the biased perceptions, we will get to meet a lot more people and have a lot more fun when we discover the other side of them

I second that. At least the urban women can earn a decent living with their education and work experience and some do share household expenses with their spouses.

Wow.. that a good planning with one stone kill two birds. biggrin.gif

But, you need to earn more to sustain that kind of lifestyle, right ?

Example : The parents are financial independent, of course they hope their daughter future husband also deep pocket.

So no Win Win situation here.

Does anyone have any idea where to buy mSATA SSD in Singapore? Want to install one as a boot drive in my Lenovo notebook. Have to ask around in Sim Lim or Funan, or is there a good place to go?

Got myself a 32" inch TV so that i can play MW3, but since im so busy lately, my younger brother would be spending more quality time on it then i am. Too bad there are no custom fabricators in singapore who can fit a ps3 and a 23 inch lcd within the frames of a pelican case, then i can just bring my gaming rig on the "rig".
