The mighty OMGeek [OMGk] platoon is looking for a few good men. We need people who have tactical and team play in mind first and don't mind following orders from appointed Squad leaders.

Each of our squad leaders have their own play style as listed below:


Frontal Assault - INQUE (SL)
Hitting the point hard and direct if needed. Flanking is reserved when another squad is already directly enroute or if it's too hot, but I always like taking the direct path. Hunkering down is also a key objective after taking a point.

Force Recon - Blitzio (SL)
We go after the far targets and hold until relieved. Our focus is on tactical aggression, precision attacks, surgical strikes. I am also instituting a suppressor policy for all firearms.

Frontal Assault / Vehicle support - jRev(SL)
When I'm leading a separate squad, we will most likely attempt to flank a point, attacking from different angles. I also don't mind incurring some downtime by guarding points when the need arises. I also like vehicular support roles--fire support from tanks and LAVs, CAS from helicopters, air superiority in jets (I keep crashing!), and so on. As you would expect, my most-played class is the engineer.

You will definitely be needing a mic as we communicate a lot via mumble and have set up multi-squad channels to communicate on a squad level. Squad leaders and members a like, have access to a global transmit channel to be able to feed in updates to the whole team, but this is mostly reserved for Squad Leaders to coordinate properly.

What is Skirmish Sundays you ask?

Skirmish Sundays it the one day that the OMGeek community can come together and do some organized teamplay. On this day we can now really follow our official Squad designations and work as a unit.

Again we focus on some tactical team play while having good ol fun!

I'm confused. We pronounce OMGeek as Oh-Em-Geek or Oh My Geek? Or Om-Geek?

You can pronounce it any way you like But when we're on voice comms, its easier to say OM Geek as it rolls off the tongue quicker.

We've been approached by another community to play against them. And we were wondering if there any of you guys here who are tactically inclined to follow us into battle.

Our play style is to emulate military tactics (fire and manuever), conducting ISR (intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance) missions, etc.

We aim to have a responsive, agile and mobile fighting force through the integration of our different squads, assault 1 and 2, force recon, close air support and mechanised forces. We want to encourage tighter coordination between the squads and ensure everyone gets their orders to ensure we all have an effective fighting force.
