sometimes, AI managers can make a difference also. i notice that any team that can get Arsene Wenger or Sir Alex Fergie can do well with team that has limited budget (monsiuer wenger mostly). I compared this with me and my frens, I'm using arsenal, another Man U and another chelsea.
in my game, Liverpool fired rafa and got wenger, and always finishes second behind me (also, one of my best mates in the game).
For the man u, Sir alex brought Borro to 2nd in their first season and 3~4 during the next 5 seasons.
For Chelsea..... well.... let just say that mourinho should just stay there

Try Santos from Santos (No kidding!). He's a young defender with a great future. stats seems low at the start but will rise

i only trust world class scout which has high judging player ability and potential. A scout with 20 rating on both can find the most lame player and sure enough, with good training become a good player
