Hi, i am actually planning to change my dad's car to my name since he got a new car. Even if we transferring among family members, does it need to go through Puspakom check and the tint needs to be removed?

QUOTE(summeracres @ Jan 8 2014, 03:42 PM) Yes you need. I was at Puspakom and there's a father and daughter doing internal name transfer among both of them also they are at Puspakom. It's a must for name transfer. Thanks for the feedback. I don't know why they have to make it so difficult.

QUOTE(summeracres @ Jan 12 2014, 04:55 PM) It's a way they implement to protect the second hand buyer and the bank. Previously I think it's a not necessary thing to do but now when I think of it, I think it's a good implementation. Imagine if we were to buy a 2nd hand car and get cheated on the car condition . It's a pretty fast process. Don't worry. I agree if it's a second hand car but if it's from parents/siblings, do we need such thing? My main concern is the tint actually. V kool on the car now is close to Rm3k and it's such a waste to remove.

QUOTE(summeracres @ Jan 12 2014, 05:21 PM) Perhaps consult Puspakom first to see if need to remove. Maybe they can let it pass? Or keep it under your dad's name temporary. Yup will need to check with Puspakom about this. It is under his name at the moment. Since he transferred his NCD to the new car, i just need to top up the balance for now.

QUOTE(gyver @ Feb 4 2014, 03:49 PM) Does V Kool have the JPJ Certificate like Cool World does? FYI Cool World tint is certified ok with JPJ. So when I went to PUSPAKOM to do the transfer from my wife to his younger brother for her Proton Neo, suddenly the tint inspection failed. So I had to use the pen knife to take out the tint. Afterwards I went back to Cool World and they reinstalled the tint for free. Cool World told me the inspection failed because Proton Neo windshield was already tinted at a low percentage. That is why when combined, the inspection failed. Definitely V Kool has the certification. I'm just curious if this is a special case by Cool World or all tint shop does the same.

QUOTE(gyver @ Feb 5 2014, 02:50 PM) FYI my family only use Cool World. I have done it for 2 cars, I mean the warranty claim. Maybe because I am a good customer. I do not know. You can try asking another branch V Kool first if can replace or not before going to your branch. Ok will do, thanks
