I previously converted my malaysian license to a singapore license 20 years ago. Have now moved back to Malaysia for good and looking to convert / get back my Malaysian license.

Have been getting inconsisten info so far - 1st visit to JPJ HQ Selangor, officer said no need convert back, can drive using Sg license. So didint convert.

Later research says Sg license can only drive for 90days. So went back to ask again (months later). This time officer say if wanna convert back, got to go Sg LTA to cxl license, get a letter then go JPJ JB branch only then can convert back. Then she said, oh your license so long ago, think you have to retake the driving test - Anyone can confirm?

My concern is, whether i can legally drive on Malaysian roads and whether insurance co will recognise my sg driving license if the need to claim arises. Cannot seem to find anything in Black & White that addresses my concern.

Wondering if anyone else has experience re the above? Thank you in advance.
