Hmm not sure about bus, but when I went back from SG last week (driving) with tons of figures, didn't kena tax. They will ask what you brought back, but when I mention toys, they just say go

It will. I kena before last time when I bring 2 SDX Gundam figures. The officer want to kacau me and only let me go after some talking for 5 minutes that these are not valuable stuff. He somemore show me the tax for toys is 30% (WTFFFF!!!!)

But after that I also bring quite a round of toys & plamo kit back from SG > JB since I'm moving out. I brought some MG and HGUC kit (like one big paper bag, can fit like 4-5 HGUC kit) but somehow they don't really bother to call me for check. Maybe because of peak hour? I just walk pass them like normal

The safest method is go to through taxi or car. Bringing bags of kit and walk in checkpoint is too obvious.

Toys tat had been open & not in mint condition will not be tax. As long as proof to be personal used (plastic opened) since u can't sell u will b safe.

It is advisable to go thru the checkpoint with car/taxi. Hmm maybe the timing also, coz I usually arrived at the checkpoint quite late; around 9pm-11pm
