the effect will be kind of different... you can head up to the mecha work in progress & mecha modelling thread... i think chriswoo show/wrote how he got the effect...

well I use ABing. I think is kinda hard for hand paint or spray CAN to for achieving this effect as you need to work hard to polish the surface make it smooth and even. and 2nd step is put surfacer and gloss black at base. next step I use sliver coat and For the blue this kampfer I custom mix sliver and cobalt blue + sky blue and a few drop of white. finally last step is to apply glossy coat on top of it.

for me i just use spray can with chrome base and layer of candy color to create the titanium or chrome finish. i use this method for both my sinanju and kampfer.

can you let me know the brand of spray you used for the sinanju? i like the effect drool.gif
also is it just chrome then candy red without primer? anyway i think it looks very nice blink.gif

If u like u can use primer.but make sure to sand it again for more smooth surface. I use anchor brand spray can.haha.rather to use that than xpensive tamiya spray.hehe brows.gif

haha that nice candy colour effect with spray CAN. that what I love about modelling it doesn't matter what kind material you use as long as you got patience, hard-working and creative, you can achieve anything.

yup you can achieved it with spray CAN but need of sanding it smooth and silver chrome base and also very patience spraying it.

i like your sinanju's shade of red.. may i ask which shade is that? i think in the photo it comes across much nicer than candy red

ah, now that u mentioned it, i noticed the shade of orange there.. is it possible to achieve that effect with spray? or is it only more prominent when airbrushing?
