Hi, can someone guide us on what to inspect during car delivery?

I heard from a certain SA that some high discount inspiras 9k-9.5k or (>RM5k which is the official figure for nov 15 onwards) mostly had some problems with them during unloading from truck or some other unnoticeable problems. The SA said it could even be a showroom or test drive unit and that justifies the higher discount, then he went on and showed me the official memo of 5k discount from Proton. Can the SA be trusted or he/she was just trying to make a sale?

The problem is, I've met a certain SA that offers 9k discount. I'm not sure who should I trust.

Anyone can clarify and guide us (future inspira owners) on what we should do to prevent from becoming a victim of this situation?

thx in advance...
*
More likely they need to hit target to get the incentive. Seems Inspira might be the new sales benchmark.... every showrorom need to have a minimum Inspira sales for incentive, dont care other model how good their sales.

I went to showroom the SA give 8K, but not from his showroom, is move sale to other showroom de for them hit target. My SA friend can give 9K, dunno where she dig out extra 1K for me...

Tar remover and later maybe clay it before polish/wax.

QUOTE(ngjx @ Nov 21 2011, 11:06 AM)
It's for polish or wax? What is the difference between polish, wax n detailer? I'm confuse when buying all this... >< n is meguiars really than good when compare with others eg turtle wax? Coz its Exp n nt easily find in Penang... T_T
*
Polish is to remove a layer to fix minor surface imperfections etc. Wax is to protect your car paint, like extra layer of clear coat protection.

QUOTE(ngjx @ Nov 21 2011, 11:25 AM)
I Tot ppl use polish for bird shit? I was thinking of going to those car wash to do few layer polish 1st since my car never polish b4... Then at home just do simple waxing or polishing...
*
I use meguaire's quik detailer... the maroon colour spray in my house... i dont liek to keep it in car cause 1) no place to put/keep it out of sight and 2) worry the heat might affect it

Better get a dependable DYNO. Different brands (dynojet, dynodynamics, dynopack, etc etc) will get different results etc. The variation also might be big like last time i dyno... 1 result is 287HP on wheel, another gave me 309.... chart curve also different sweat.gif

Actualy discount is around 8k, he get 5k discount.. even if waive the booking RM700... and get outside 8k discount he still earn. This SA dishonest leh.. not so good... even when I talk to a random SA.. he tell me his showroom only give 5k... but if he move sales to other showroom (those that need hit target) he can give me RM8k.. this one call HONEST.

let me explain a bit .. the CAN BUS works just like a NETWORK ..

all those tiny little bit things send signal all across the same line .. with different resistance value ..

thats why for 1.8 u want buy climate control .. the panel is so expensive.. because the panel itself have a tiny ECU to communicate with the main ETACS through the CAN bus .. same goes to the meter.. ETACS will feed information in the CAN BUS and the combination meter (be it color or what ever manual auto) .. it will pickup the signal and decodes it ..

for our normal one .. price less then 1k ..
for COLOR one .. price around 2.5k ~ 3k ..
for EVO X (NON COLOR) .. 2nd hand .. cheapest i found 2k .. gila ..
*
EVO X 2nd hand 2k sounds ok bro... my car.. i trade in my display cluster for a 2nd hand Nismo need top up RM1.8k. Liek someone say here..... as long as u HAPPY.. price dont matter.. Gaya mesti ada! tongue.gif

Ps : Regret come to this thread.. before get car also kena poison kau kau,,,,,, haiz

believe it or not.... this is the 1st time in my life i actually change a rim!! really pening when u hv so many rims in front of you... they all look the same. after one round, my eyes become "flower" jor!! LOL

how but the tire? i  know bridgestone.... but nvr heard of this variant "sports tourer" b4... is it good? tht guy actually recommended me Michelin... but rm600+ one leh

Tyres depends on what u like... individual taste.. I happen to like Falken 452.. cause impressive performance with a thread wear of 300!!!! (yeah.. I cheapo cannot afford change tyre every 6 months..)

But how is the performance in grip and in wet.... tyres of such high tread wear are usually of the hard compound, and they grip lousily in wets.... care to share your experience with the, Falken 452s??
*
Very good grip in both dry but i managed to lose my rear in the wet a few times (but bear in mind my car is RWD), comparable to PS2 & CSC2, but the down side is that its louder then your average tyres. But due to my car's aftermarket exhaust.. loud or not i cant hear it anyway. Good balance of performance and value for $.

Ofcourse it cannot compare with the 888 or R1R in the dry, but these 2 tyres have very bad grip in the wet and their thread wear of 100 & 140 will kill your wallet.
