 Windows 7 Pros and Cons

currently i am using windows xp pro sp3(32bit) for gaming, i wanted to know the pros and cons of windows 7 compared to windows xp

pros :

1. DX11 (graphic nice) (my graphic card GT220 support up to 10.1 only cry.gif )
2. 128gb ram limitation
3. nice desktop

cons :

1. some games not compatible on windows 7
2. drivers alot problem
3. need use more ram than windows xp

please give me more information about windows 7 thanks alot smile.gif

1. haven't found any games that doesn't work, I don't play old DOS-era games.
2. driver problem? how old is the hardware?
3. using 2GB and I haven't maximized memory usage.

maybe he mean the ram requirement to run the win 7...

win xp need at least 512mb while win 7 need 1gb of ram

4. Better security
5. Support latest hardwares
6. Better platform to play Skyrim and probably many other new game.

Never had any problem playing any games. Ram is dirt cheap nowadays, unless you are using DDR1 or SDRAM.

Battlefield 3 ? biggrin.gif

For me, Windows 7 loads and closes much faster than XP.

Sometimes XP feels like it takes forever to start up.

use windows 7 has a lot of improvement on performance...
especially using the 64-bit version of windows 7...........
btw, windows 8 is still on the process of testing.......

some old games uncompatible is the main con! but the advantage is the graphic quality 100% better than windows xp

The graphic quality is not better than XP. But the new user interface is much superior to that of XP, in terms of look and feel. Whenever I have to work with older OSes now, I always miss 7's Start's "Search programs and files".
