dang... i already short list to purchase the digital version...
But on side note, anyone have recommendation of water heater with pump and without pump?
not so sure which brand is better nowadays
*
whether pump or without, i will also recommend go for pump version.. as additional power of pump is always welcome. Hmm, go for DC pump for quieter operation.. other than that, i believe all are function the same.. i am renovating another subsale house recently.. i bought latest midea version with pump..

my current house renovated since last 3 years.. full house with panasonic electrical stuffs.. this time subsale unit, i bought all midea (cooker hob, hood, heater, washing machine, AC, thermo pot).. except fridge.. midea didnt have inverter fridge which i go for sharp probably (havent order).. as midea service center just nearby my subsale unit.. so let's try.. previously have installed Midea AC in KL landed unit.. overall i am quite satisfied with AC performance and bill didnt shock me.. so this time penang subsale, i try use Midea..

i bought their most expensive one pump with digital view.. soon you will find out your shower head have water leak, the rubber water outflow area also broken.. damn fucking noob.. my first day installationa dn press the button unable to turn on the power due to little gap inside button and contact area.. so i have paste thick double tape inside of button contact area in order to make it works.. expensive like hell but product quality..

Fridge 1 months+ motherboard burned and call warranty team for replacement.. (good thing is next day come over ady)..

Did you install the washers before you screw in the shower head hose/water inlet hose?

My good old 20 years old National WH (Air Bubble Jet series with the elephant mascot) started to give problem. When I press the start/stop button to turn off the water, the water doesn't immediately stop, but will continue to flow for like 5-10s before it stop, quite annoying. Any idea what went wrong?

If need to replace, what is the recommended most reliable WH? Judging from my experience with National, I guess Pana? And which model (prefer with pump)? TBH I haven't used any other brands before like Joven, Alpha, Midea etc.

If wanna repair.. IIRC it is the rubber washer that is inside the push button valve.

For replacement you can refer to https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2107287/+1160#

Pana still good but don't take the high end model. However fancy they make a heater, its still just a WH.
The other brands (other than Hitachi) do not have the push start button.

Remember to fit a quality 10mA RCD. https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2020...ted-in-bathroom

Any suggestion which brand and model that I can buy for this water heater?

1) Is it better AC or DC? Any pro and cons using either AC or DC

2) WaterPump

3) Joven ( but I hear latest model is not reliable), Panasonic and Rubine

4) Power Consumption

5) After Sales Service

I think I have same model. National DH-311M? Used to be like that but these days, water doesn't even stop unless I cut off/turn off water supply laugh.gif

Apart from above, the ELCB light(green LED) doesn't even light up these days. But when I push the ELCB test button, that thing seems like it's working because water from warm/hot turns cold.

Please advise.

Well judging from this shocking.gif I think the previous model from yours DH3MS1 is more reliable. You should get a replacement unit from Pana.. it should never leak inside the WH.

Self installed and the only leak I got was because I forgot to put in the washer between output and shower hose.

1. TNB is always AC. If you have a pump then DC pump slightly quieter that's all.

2. From the water hose if you can stop the water with your thumb easily that means low pressure. If you are already putting the heat max coz water too strong (i.e. cannot heat up in time) you should have good pressure already. If the min setting feels too hot then you should get a pump.

3. 4 unit Pana. But best to get older model DH3MS1. The newer model cut cost until Snoy's new unit also leak.

4. Normal usage 3.6kw model enough. There are 4.8kw models by Hitachi and Pana available if you are in cold places like Genting.

5. If buying online make sure the partner/online store is official dealer.

Should replace to be safe, it has been >20 years since its a National unit. Coz over time corrosion can eat into the heater element. Remember to use 10mA RCD as per ST guidelines.

Mine is DH-360M. My ELCB light will still on. Only the start/stop button will delay off water. If water pressure too low will take longer time to off. It is as if when press button it rely on water pressure to push a rubber stopper and that thing moves slower now (I am guessing). Will try to open up to see what happen inside.

For point 2, I am not sure if I should get w/pump version? My water pressure consider medium bah. WH is on 2nd floor, outside house got fit a generic filter, when someone open water downstair, water pressure upstair will drop significantly until no water will out depending downstair open how big, so if someone using shower upstair, downstair cannot open water. So it has been like this entire time, when cooking or washing cloth downstair then upstair cannot bath. Old house issue. Other than that shower still fine but not super satisfying like it can blast away dirt on the floor. Temp setting is at 50%. And then dunno why everytime midnight the water pressure will drop as if Air Selangor got set timer to reduce pressure auto every midnight. So if wanna bath must make sure to do it before 12am. Got salesman told me Pana use Jet pump which not powerful and doesn't help much. Is it true? Just wanna make educated decision and maybe safe money to get non pump version.

For point 5, is it easy to self install if buy online? I know online cheaper but prob is dunno how to install esp stuff like air con.

I have received my 1 to 1 replacement unit from Panasonic after 2 weeks.
So far so good now but already in dilemma if it will leak again.

I do have the previous version models, with and without pump.
Both button valves started failing to stop water completely after a while.. And water is not hot enough comparing to even older version.

I own 3 generations of Pana water heaters, it’s getting more problematic generation by generation.

For water heater it doesn't matter whether your electricity is AC or DC because it is a resistive load (to generate heat).

2. Pump would help in your situation coz your upstairs will need a little assistance to maintain pressure.

5. Pretty easy if you are replacing existing unit / installing new unit where the electric point and water outlet is ready.

Cost cutting KPI @ Pana that's why we get such nonsense, the joke was that they should just make the power cord 10cm long to save wire cost.

WH should last 10-15 years easily. At RM278/15 yrs (non pump model) its only 18.53 per year. Can throw it then as it has served its useful life

Pump or no pump determined whether u have good pressure or not. Good pressure meaning your water never heat up enough even when WH is max heat and u cannot stop the water from hose easily by just using your thumb.

Hi guys... thinking to get one more my children room.

- required with pump type
- 3600kw should be enough
- importantly- need a strong pump- the water pressure/flow not too high. the pump could help a little ( i know importantly is the pressure/flow which i cant do much)

any recommendation?
Panasonic DH 3RP1?
Toshiba DSK38

prefer reputable for safety wise
