Well guys..thanks for the opinions and replies. The issue is sometime when I try to turn the camera on, there is a few orange light blinking and it shut down again. I only happen occasionally by the way.

Guess I will need to live with this temperamental problem for a while though it is quite embarrassing knowing that others are waiting for you to take their picture and you are stuck with power on issue.

Everdying..very nice picture indeed. Is it Hamilton automatic ? and for god sake...pls change your proflie pic...lol

Just for sharing :

I got my belt pouch with shoulder strap (not waist pouch) from World of Sport for $59 (after 40% discount). Have been looking for one ever since which is not too big/small and yet horizontal shape. Brand Lafuma. Quality is a lot better than the Monfrotto which look very cheap but cost $51 from Harvey Norman.

Added on November 20, 2012, 10:35 amBy the way, how to adjust shutter speed under Aperture Priority Mode. I have been trying to copy sample photos from Fuji website which give the shooting details but just cannot find the control to adjust the shutter speed...pls help.

sweat.gif It's Aperture priority so you can only adjust the Aperture. Use Shutter priority mode for that. Or Manual to adjust both.

I just happened to have one pic in Shutter priority mode shot at my kampung.

Nice photo...

Added on November 21, 2012, 1:11 amYou see guys. In Fuji X10 website, there is a sample image on sunflower which is under Aperture Priority Auto mode. Stated there the shutter speed is 1/200. How do I gonna check my shutter speed statistic since i have no control over it. Display

2nd. How to play with focal length, AEL/AFL button ?

3rd. How to take a picture of ceiling fan (moving object) under shutter priority mode ?

May sound stupid but need to learn.

Thank you in advance

just my 2cents

1. IMHO..when u on a apeture mode, u can adjust the aperture and the shutter is automaticly set by the camera. of course u can review the shutter speed and iso after the picture taken. vice-versa if u using a shutter mode, the apeture is automaticly set.if u wanted to adjust both u can use the manual mode smile.gif

2.u can see the focal length on top of the lens - it is 28, 35, 50, 85, 112 (u can double the range using intelligent digital zoom -sweet-). the AEL/AFl button is the exposure lock button (AEL) and focus lock (AFL) button. umm u can change the function in the setup menu - whether for AEL/AFL/AEL&AFL

3. use shutter mode(S) scroll the dial left or right. lower number slow shutter..high number fast shutter. if u want the fan's blade to stop use fast shutter..if u want it to umm "blur" use slow shutter. *fast shutter make u picture dark..compesate it with flash and ISO.

then again u could learn all the basic via internet about apeture/shutter speed/ISO/field of depth/focal length/rule of third/flash mode/flash curtainning/panning/ bla bla

Than you bro

Added on November 27, 2012, 8:14 amJust bought a USED Nikon D90 + 50mm f/1.4 + Nissin flash + Phottix battery grip + addidtional battery + winer bagpack and there is no turning back. It only cost me only $1900.....I am looking for camera that can give me a very nice bokeh effect and oh boy....it is so simple when you have the right gear. Even a dumb fool like me is so hand on with it's basic function. Fuji X10 will only be my 2nd P&S camera for casual shooting now....My point is if I have been exposed to more reading and research earlier, I would not spend $1500~$2000 for Fuji X10 at all....plus there is no option to upgrade. There is no resale value too.

My point is even a used respectable DSLR camera worth the every penny spent. Fuji camera is just overly priced !!!

I dont mean to offence anyone though it remain as individual opinion and you can choose to ignore beginner like me. Anyway, thank you for the advices and suggestions. I appreciate them !!

I do agree with Everdying... OVF is kind of superfluous to me.. Too small and distorting. DSLR is another story though !
