I would like to ask if in what conditions or settings that the x10 produces the white orb (i know it's been ask numerous of times..but i dont see any so far...) batch number 21MXXX.... would it be recommended just to sent it for a sensor replacement eventho so far most pictures taken doesnt really show the "white orbs"..

Need all the great advices from all the x10 sifus here!

21M should be ok already. But you can try shoot at ISO 100 pointing at some light bulbs and see if there's some highlight bleeding or orbs.

My X10 also has this "problem" Auto WB on sunny day produce blue cast.
White buildings will look bluish. Now I know it  must be a Fuji thing 

hi all X10 sifus, m planning to buy a X10 too. what would your advice be? using it for street photography and travelling photography.
2 issues I have is that the viewfinder is actually 80% of the full frame , will that affects the edges of the full picture taken as I don't see that through the viewfinder.
Second issue is the white orb sensor problem and the firmware update been resolved in the laterst batch of X10? if Yes, how would I know that?

Use LCD... zzzz OVF the best, faster response, EVF will probably lag a bit

also, due to my background, im being taught to shoot with viewfinder lah, shoot with LCD only unless neccesary

i dont own X10, sorry if i take comment out of context, if you mean X10 OVF being useless then nothing much i can further comment.

But if u talk in general, im sure many would prefer OVF then EVF / even in your text - LCD

Dont get offended with the background thingy, it just mean im being taught that way.

Unless your background taught you to use DSLR to shoot with LCD, else i believe those who use DSLR will use the viewfinder instead of LCD most of the time.

Hmm, but x100 ovf also like that. I'm used to test shot first tho. Ic. Need to get used tho. Its like ovf with faster reaction, and no lag, vs evf you get what u see

hmm, maybe we got different preference gua, i seriously dont need those in the viewfinder.

Just came back from HK. Was searching high & low for the shutter release button in Stanley street, managed to only find 1 shop selling, but kinda expensive. And wanted to get some funky straps also but couldn't find one that is affordable. Anyone know where I can get those shutter buttons in msia other than ebay?
