hi i want to ask a question
if a art stream student
will he has chance(ANY) to study in pre u , foundation or same level education
in order to study in medical/science course
let say he is a art stream student but cannot study pharmacy, but is there any other small course that he can take and after that he will be able to study in a medical school?
his spm math is just pass only, no credit
any helps/suggestion?

Hi

Basically it’ll be impossible for you to take Medicine with no science background. As medicine is a highly competitive course (with lots of applicants), medical universities require their students to achieve very good results in all three sciences – Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Through the Canadian Pre-University (CPU) programme, you’ll be able to take the equivalent Form 5 level for Physics and Chemistry (spending an extra semester/6 months), before you proceed to take the subjects at Pre-University level in CPU. Having Physics and Chemistry will mean that you’ll be able to pursue degrees such as Pharmacy. However, for engineering, you’ll need to pass both maths and additional maths. Hope this helps.

For further information, please send us an email at taylors.preu@taylors.edu.my. Alternatively, speak to our counselors at 017-8835795 or 03-5636 2641. We’ll take it from there.
