Lol i think i go for for the same company, tho last time the name was Knighters D'enterprise. I shud hv known it, but being a fresh grads who still dont know his way i still went for the interview. The woman who call me for the interview sound so profesional and i guess i fell for it. She told me to look for King Crabs sign. I was so happy thinking that i would get a good job(was applying for event crew) I tot the job probably running around doing some event such as concert, roadshow, etc.
I still can remember, i was there early, around 11am but nobody around(bad sign), only one table around and just two seats! When i was there i saw the admin lady was playing with her MSN and i thought myself that it was very unprofessional of her (another bad sign).
I still remember the fugly guy (he really is ugly) who interview me, he talk very fast and doesnt really give me a chance to talk much. blah blah blah, when i intro myself, telling him that i involved in a lot of charity work during uni times, i saw his gleefully evil smile. lol
And then he told me about the company what the do( they promote stuff) including client such as Adidas(yeah rite), and he ask me that my interest is charity, but before i give my answer he cut the chase and say he gonna put me into charity team. He asked me to come for the next day for training-never know that this interview was very easy lol (another bad sign),btw his english sucks too! another very bad sign! He asked to wear casual wear, a comfortable shoes! And i was like for real???
Anyway i just came the next day, but i came kinda late. around 10mins. So i missed their so called "team cheers" but i still can hear them from the outside anyway. It kinda a strange feeling that i get when i hear them cheering, very tadika-ish and lame. After that i was assigned two seniors that would trained/brainwash me. I was kinda shocked when i saw them coming out from the room carrying a bag with them, and i was like, OMG!!! is this the thing that i'm gonna sign up for? And i was like WTF???? but i kept my cool anyways.
My seniors ask me where is the place that has lot of people. And i was like how the hell would i know?? im not local. but i just suggested that we just go to klcc anyway. On the way to klcc by tren i can felt her fake friendliness during our conversation, very tak tau malu punye. I still remember her name was Micky. She did ask me strange question like "Do i have gf, do i have BF?!!! " what kind of person ask others whether they have bf after they asked whether they hv gf?! Lame question. Then she explain that we need to sell all the stuff in the bag! and it will proceed to charity. But she also told me that the job very good one and the pay is good too, some of the payment proceed to their paycheck! only little goes to charity. Anyway after i know the whole thing i just telling them straight that i dont want the job, and just ditch them at klcc anyway. Lesson learn! My other friend told me that he even joined them for whole full day and didnt come on the next day. lol
2. Btw, regarding Marcus Evans, it is actually a legit company. not scam one. It actually sales oriented company although their website say that they provide bussiness intelligence. I worked there before as sales exec (telesales to be precise) and as the name suggest they sell through the phone. The company actually organize event such as conference, training, (think like International water forum, or Engineering conference or hr training) and sale the event to MNC company such as Petronas, Shell, Maybank, etc. Basic salary quite low at RM1500, but the commission is very high. usually 10% up to 22%. Bear in mind that the ticket for such event are quite expensive, some even USD3000. so imagine the commission if you close a lot of sales.
Anyway just like other sales company, the work pretty much stressful and tension as you have to hit the target. anyway it was good experience btw. The only thing i like about the company was every 3 months they would party like hell. Our manager usually booked redbox, order 2 bottled of chivas and happy hour till we drop on company ofcourse. only that i like lol.
3.Anyway i was stumble on this post as i was researching for company call APPCO. Thank goodness i found this company. My ex-colleauge from Marcus evan (she was the admin that time not in sales team) asking me to come for her company interview. At first i thought it was a good offer, but then luckily i found this thread. I should have been suspicious when she approach me ( we all dont really like that much-she was kinda fussy. and she hate cat tooo!!!!!) and ask me about my job currently. rupa2 ada udang di sebalik mee. lol. She told me that she and her professional colleague are at Menara MAA at Agryl road there. She didnt even tell me the name of the company, just say it affiliate with APPCO group.
So now i wont go for it haha. Sorry for the long post hahaha.
