cables from your source to amp plays a role in sound. you might find it ridiculous, but when you actually hear sounds through better made cables you will be amazed. really. just change to hippo box+ bro, for me it do perform better than e11 and smaller size, lighter and more portable..

for your case, an Audio Technica, I know exactly what kind of cables to tone down the harshness and brightness of sound and give a little more bass and extend a little at the lower frequencies.
