ES7 is very nice and worth the price. Love the clarity.

Best is to audition those brands mentioned. Unless you want to gamble on it.
For "cheap" amps, Hippo Box+ and Govibe(dont remember the name) are not bad for ES7. Cant comment on Fiio products as their sound is not my cup of tea. This post has been edited by EightPhantomz: Nov 13 2011, 04:47 PM |

I have ES7 and still I cant say which is better. The best is to audition.
Different ears different brands. Tested alot of 200-600 budget amps, non satisfies my ears. ES7 can be very bright on certain amps. Some can give you bass but it can also brighten it until became digitalized+sibilance. Some give you loads of bass but you might need to sacrifice the clarity and might became muddy. I've started off with Govibe Single and then Hippo Box+. Both amps are good for new ears. You can try JDS Labs cMoyBB which I'm using right now. You can read it out first. Its not your commercial amps. |
