Im a pc player and recently got myself a ps3 after many years plan . Problem is that i cant really enjoy the game using game pad compared to keyboard and mouse. So can anyone help me how the settings can be done

There are a few ways.

If you really want a mouse and keyboard. You can get this.
Eagle Eye

I personally using this And is need less set up comparing to eagle eye. If you do not want heavy set up i recommend this.

ive been reading some reviews on all this keyboard/pad+mouse for ps3 and the opinions are quite divided.

personally for those whom are using it in a scale how does it compare to the ps3 controller?i know we can never achieve what the pc mouse n keyboard can do but in a sense for this purpose lets assume were not looking for match for match.just a good figure to compare it with the ps3 controller.

as a newbie on ps3 man for its quite hard using the sticks so if these other option can at least provide a bit better experience would do good in play fps on the console.

Unreal Tournament is keyboard+mouse enabled for ps3.Its all on the developers side.
Lets just hope that Counter Strike G.O is also k+m enabled (with constant updates and cross platform play too hopefully).

well..if you still rely on keyboard+mouse setting as an alternative, sorry to say but you wont learn to use the controller for FPS efficiently... like forever?
everybody gone through "quite-hard-to-play-fps-on-controller" phase in the console arena and everyone adapting to it nicely. practice make perfect yah?

dont have to agree with me but that just my 2 cents. forking extra money to buy a keyboard +mouse setting for console is quite ridiculous as the console controller itself is quite good in FPS in term of efficiency. on the other notes, spending on G27 driving wheel + driving seat much better choice as it give you more immersion when playing driving game.

but hey, it your money...feel free to do what you think the best for you

well i think my point of view is the "enjoyment of the experience" and not just for the sake of getting good or adapting.controller has its perks in some games and in some other games, the keyboard+mouse provides it.just as you mentioned, buying a whole set of driving wheel, with seats,pedals, gear shifts etc to look/mimic seating in an actual car, where by all those things can be done equally well with a controller.same can be said to the guitars,and drum kits for the music genre games.the controller is wondrous, similair to its counterpart the mouse and keyboard.

as my previous post, im not saying controller sucks or keyboard+mouse rules, im taking a neutral stand and what im looking for is to enjoy both of them thats all. ive spent some good money on consoles and the games so why not a bit more for the very same reasons applied for the racing hardware applied to other type of games.

well i eat nubs/pros for my dinner + supper every nite.. with only using a DS3, while lying on my beanbag infront of 50" led.. that is what i call "enjoyment of the experience" don't think i can do that if i'm using a keyboard+ratz.. and heck, keyboard+ratz for console is not 100% accurate as the real thing.. have tried it myslef and it's a waste of moneh.. doesn't matter if u bought tonnes 3rd party hardwares and stuff, at the end, it all comes to ur genes..

i just got my eagle eye 2 days ago .. i too came from PC gaming ..
when i first bought the PS3 , i was a nightmare playing MW3 and BF3 ..

then i decide to order the eagle eye, but that took like 2 weeks to come .. by that time , i am sort of use to the controller already...

now with eagle eye,i would say.. it's much easier to shoot and aim , but when you are trying to switch weapon, drive a vehicle .... don't even mention flying a jet/helicopter ... it's a different case all together ..



all i can say is ... if you got the extra money , just test it for yourself .. but I can tell one thing for sure that you won't replicate the PC gaming 100% ...

yeah thats what im exploring.i dont want it to be 100% like a pc else i would just stay on the pc . its just with the amount of money were spending we need some comparison between its own circle i.e the controller and not the pc despite it being a keyboard and mouse for ps3.

thx for the info do update us on the +/- pts of the eagle eye.im quite interested on the aimon ps elite.a bit cheaper then the shark.

Practice makes perfect. Why did you spend on a ps3 if you want to play with mouse and keyboard? Try a different thing , use controller instead of mouse and keyboard. Even though it's not as precise as mouse and keyboard , at least try on it.

dun wan to use fr gaming . just for typing msj m chat.
typing using ds3 slow ..

trust me if u using keyboard and mouse u will have hard time to fly jet or heli in ps3 as they are design for ds3 not keyboard and mouse

I know that feel bro...i also got myself a ps3 recently...was a gamer for many many years on the pc...but hey once u get the hang of it...it aint that bad...but until today i haven bought any fps on the ps3...

if u wanna use kb + mouse go back to pc lahh...almost all FPS are multiplatform. or you can use ps3 sharpshooter...better than kb+ mouse....imma buy it when there's more games for it

chill guys im not saying i wont grow in to it or did the others in here.just take it as using a driving peripherals fro racing games and music instrument like things for music games.

also its not just accuracy ka and what just, that bit of enjoyment factor.

My opinion is like this.
Why some soldiers have preference when choosing a gun or rifle?
End of the day, all still shoots and kills.
Anyway, I have used DS3, Aimon PS and Sharpshooter in FPS games.
Sharpshooter is the best.
Sadly only few games support it so far.

For those playing Call of Duty MW3, I highly recommend getting the Hori Tactical Assault Commander 3. It is a mouse and keyboard combo with native support by the game and the only one supported by Sony.


One issue with unsupported hardware is they can obsolete when you update firmware :/

anyone played or playing skrym, RAGE or Darkness2 ?
is it nice and easy to play with mouse and keyboard ?
is it worth it if i buy mouse and keyboard for ps3 ?
