Hi all si fuss here,

I just bought a M-line Persona last few months.

Overall, the car has no problem but i found some abnormal noise at my front disc brake since the first day i got my car.

Whenever i release the brake from static position/i stop my car from moving, then i will hear noise like "wonggg" or "uuuuu". The noise will get worse especially when i slow down my car by hitting on the brake pedal during parking.(Continuously "wonggg" or "uuuuu" noise which is annoying)

I went to a few service center and asked them regarding this problem and they just told me that this is NORMAL. Some of the technician told me that this is the design problem which cannot be fixed.(Is it true?)

Actually i have read some of the article and from there the advice is to change brake pad.
I need some advice from all the sifus here, what kind of brake pad is suitable?? (some said ceramic pad?because it produce less noise and dust)

P/S: i am newbie so hopefully can get some advice from all the sifuss

I guess its the Uuurrgghhh sound u mentioned when ur car is in D and u lepas the brake a bit.. That sound is due to the brake becoming less makan and the power of ur car manage to push it. And yeah it cant be fixed. Its cos our cars dont have BA (brake assist), thats y there is this sound as compared to a Camry or Accord.
Ceramin brake pads are cheap and less dust, but when braking they have this screeching sound.. U can try RapidStop or EBC pads.. Quite good although a bit expensive.
When u save ur songs, dont put too many subfolders cos it wont be able to detect all the songs.
like after u plug in ur pendrive into the computer, then u arrange the songs to be only 1 folder depth. That means u only got folder for like English songs, Chinese Songs, Malay Songs.. THen after u click in to this folder there is no more folder to be opened.
Dunno.. THis kind of stuffs have to ask SC directly. We never change it b4.
How much?
Ur car not lala or pai lang enough.. Need to be more ganas with flame thrower in the front of ur car.. Sure the BMW will get scared.
Where got TOO DARK.. Same like mine. U hvnt get used to it yet.. Wait till u get used to it first.. And after sometime parking in the hot sun ur color will lightened up a bit.. No worries.. it will become like 70% only.
80% darkness = 20% VLT.

yaya..you are absolutely correct smile.gif So can you elaborate more on the Rapid Stop brake pad to me?
This is because i read from RS's website, there are few types of it,450deg, 550deg,800deg...which 1 is good?

And what is EBC pad?

(sorry, i really don't have this kind of knowledge, icon_question.gif )

I'm using EBC 450 deg brake pad.
My review..
First 500km the EBC brake pad wont "makan"..
After 500km start to "makan" already until now I had used for 5k damn makan (still I don't trust persona brake system sad.gif )
if you decided to choose this pad you must bare with the "yik yik" sound
*
i can accept the "yik yik" sound..but something i cannot stand with is the "ugghh" sound in D when i release brake abit..
Don't know whether the EBC or RS brake pad can help???

p/s: my car is persona where this kind of car have "ugghh" sound when release brake. (innate problem which cannot be fixed!) doh.gif
