Reposta in V3 since nobody answered in V2
Question to you guys about AA transfers.
If you go AA website, you can now buy "transfer" tickets. For example I can key in Origin Singapore, Destination Paris, and I can have the option to buy the SG --> KL and KL --> Paris together. You know ... like every other airline in the world.
Question though, is this any different from buying the two legs separately? As in, will they transfer my bags in KL automatically to the KL --> Paris leg? Or will I still have to check out, take bags, etc etc in KL anyways?
Also, if the first leg delayed and cause me to miss second leg, will AA still tell me we are point to point carrier so gtfo?

QUOTE(smwah @ Mar 4 2012, 04:26 PM) I make booking for me and my gf for asia x. I understand that we need to do the web check in. But problem is the sitiing. How suppose I can ensure that my sitting is side by side? For those manual check in, we could request the counter to put in our seat base on avability. The more scary part is the hand lugage, some ppl just take 2 big lugage together. Then occupied the space. I think this one can't do much. Or I just buy the siting lor. Do web check-in lor. During the web check in process you will see the system assign you which seats. In my experience 80% of the time they will seat you together. If the system seat you separate then gotta pay $$ to move one of your seats.

QUOTE(Shazzac @ Mar 24 2012, 08:45 AM) Just wanted to ask a question to those who travel frequently on AA from KUL to SIN. I fly about a half dozen return trips each year. Mostly on-time or short delay (15-ish minutes). Worst I've experienced is 1-hour delay.

QUOTE(mars1069 @ Apr 17 2012, 12:02 PM) My question is, can I claim from AA for the delay of my luggage I don't know what is AA's specific policy. But generally speaking, there are no set agreements or rules governing compensation payments for delayed luggage - it's all up to the carrier. It's only after 21 days delay that the Montreal Convention requires airlines to compensate you - up to an individual limit of 1000 SDRs, currently equivalent to US$1,536.

QUOTE(stimix @ Jun 22 2012, 11:29 PM) Ever since they waive the check-in charges, Oh, check-in charges waived d? Hehe I guess too much hate from customers to continue it Anyways a few weekends ago I flew AA from SG to KL. Very early flight - 7am. The boarding pass (web check in) clearly says "Counters open 3 hours before flight time." I reach there at 4.30am, counter not open. AA staff walking around and eating breakfast like a bawse. 5.30am only counter open for luggage drop, 1 hour standing in line like an idiot for nothing

QUOTE(lilyginger @ Nov 8 2012, 07:50 PM) I say I click the wrong payment option button.
If AA is ethical, no one would bad mouth them. But since they are the one changing the thing without my consent, so its their wrong. Judging by the responses you've been getting, in which not a single person (this is not the AA shareholders/supporters group forum, btw) is agree'ing with you, perhaps you should just accept that it was your mistake by pressing the back button on your browser and learn from it.

My last return trip from SG to KL, both legs kena delayed 1st leg SG to KL, delay 45mins, then AA managed to accidentally let 2 passengers from SG-PG flight on board. I mean yes, those 2 pipu are wrong but how come AA ground staff nv check their boarding pass and let them go up the plane? Announce announce and dunno why so long to clear up the issue, end up 1.5hr delay in total. 2nd leg KL to SG, taxi'ing to runway liao then suddenly need to turn back to gate to check on some technical thing, so sit on tarmac for ~1hr then only fly.
