QUOTE(zeese @ Sep 20 2012, 08:43 AM) For domestic flight, I saw many 'real' free seats (not including tax). But for international flight, I'm yet to see anyone claim they really got RM0 for the seat. Most probably, free seats for international flight does not exists at all, but I would be glad if someone can prove me wrong, so I can start trust AA again. some forumers said that Bangkok got 0 fare. The tax goes to MAHB sdn bhd. So, you got to ask najib, why it did that.. Taking advantage of AA sales? i have never believe on free seats for international routes. If can get cheap ones, i will be grateful. |

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Sep 20 2012, 12:24 PM) Fighting Taiwan this morning ... 249 + 287 + luggage + etc = 650 +/- for taiwan, which month izzit.?Guangzhou region again, 550-600 all in I think is not that cheap, but holiday plan for next year. Indonesia airport tax pay during exit (return trip) IDR 150,000 per person. Remember reserve some cash in separate envelope and not to spend it. |

0 fare is just marketing gimic. There is 0 fare but certain flight or certain destination only.
Maybe per year there might only be 5 free seats per destination. In reality, international I have not seen even one 0 fare b4. Domestic all the time during the sales promo. Hope this helps.. So some ppl like think it's like cheating and misleading consumers but it's just all marketing strategy to attract ppl. |

QUOTE(aliesterfiend @ Sep 25 2012, 11:24 AM) That means those are already snapped up. There's probably about 10-15 seats priced at 0 and increased every 10-15 block. Well it will still got chance the flight could make it. This is when 2nd sale come along. If they would like it to fly, maybe they have 45% load d so this is when u will see 0 fare/seats in that particular flight/date. Just to make it to achieve their breakeven or try to make profit from it. That's how budget carrier operates. They sell cheapest first and once keep increasing until all the seats are taken. With legacy carriers they will sell the highest fare first and will reduce prices when there are still seats to sell. If a plane cannot make at least 70% load then it's not profitable to fly. Before AA re-introduced the fuel surcharged I have made roughly about 5 bookings, all 0 fare. Only took one flight to LGK while the rest claim back airport tax refund after no-show. Now with fuel surcharge re-introduce no more la ... So mostly you dont see 0 fare it because the flight/date already achieve its load or they confident that it will be filled up ie. popular routes. Just my assumption. could be all wrong but this is what i see. |

If not mistaken is 2hours b4 flight and last 45mins.
U need recheck if they did change this. If worried you can do web check in and print your own boarding pass. So no need go 2hours earlier. But sometimes luggage check in queue is terrible. So always give 1hr and half for safety. |
