No point to use a 150ml item until left 100ml.The rules are strictly that the bottle must be 100ml itself.
Note: Saw the sales.... pricing still not that cheap.... sigh.

QUOTE(missfinn @ Apr 2 2012, 03:42 PM) they will throw it all away..I got a friend who tried to do just that (although I've warned her one too many times ), it's not the content, as long as the bottle is more than 100 ml they will take it away, a friend of mine try to argue that with the immi at the Bali Airport, she got a stern look instead..all her clarins, estee lauder stuff all kena confiscate..rules are rules.. +1Sometimes I dun understand what is wrong with ppl travellling. They keep insisting that inside only left less than 100ml (bottle written more than 100ml) and yet want the items to go thru. I've also advised a few of my friends (who asked me about this) and yet they don't want to take into note. Sigh. Since I know this ruling very well, I always keep those miniature bottles (body cream) that comes free when purchasing big bottles. Empty it and reuse. |

Those expensive stuff, can put in your handcarry, so nothing to worry about for the check in luggage. It's always just clothes, 6 yr old panasonic travel hair dryer, old brush...
In my handcarry it's usually the makeup, toiletries, a hooded sweater, tablet, chargers and stolen MAS pillow (LOL), other valuable stuff..... that way, nothing to worry about. |

QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ Apr 13 2012, 11:55 AM) yea they open my sis luggage lock n the whole lock lost lolz Hrm, why makeup cannot put in handcarry? Usually the liquid stuff are always below 100ml (usually just 70ml - this one i dun even separate into the clear plastic bag together with other liquids). All eyeshadow, blusher, powder - is powder and eyebrow pencil, eyeliner all pencil form. Lipbalm is in those like lipstick tube type. Lipgloss they don't consider as 1 of the liquid in the plastic one.can put make up in hand carry? travel size iszit? bt sometimes if u buy branded bag or stuffs oso need to put inside the luggage.. handcarry is limited Err, i dun buy 1000000000000000 handbags or stuff when i travel. The most also just 1 (if my sister/fren ask me to buy). That time i bought 10x longchamp le pliage + 1 prada (for my sis) - i handcarry in the large prada paperbag. The rules for handcarry is 1 handbag & 1 laptop bag. I dun have handbag coz all put inside laptop bag (no i didn't bring laptop - just using the bag) and another paperbag.... that's a total 2 bags. So it's ok what.... I travel frequently - so all the rules i'm so used to it dy. |

QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ Apr 13 2012, 03:55 PM) i'm petite so i feel so troublesome to tuck along alot of stuffs into my handcarry cz i would nt be able to carry it. my makeup n cleanser is too much so i lazy to separate it n put the large bag into my luggage. i bring along a handbag n a backpack (for my cams). if i tug along my makeup, b4 travel i dy feel heavy. imagine if coming bek wif those stuffs i bought means ++ extra heavy hehe.. go handcarry (handbag n backpack = ady feel heavy) + 1 check in luggage bek handcarry (handbag n backpack + foods (if any) + fragile stuffs = very loaded dy) + 1 check in luggage + another extra backpack (usually i bring along to put extra stuffs tat i bought) tat's y i try to minimize my handcarry whn i go travel cz usually i bek wif lotsa stuffs.. even sometimes i put my stuffs into my fren's luggage I'm not that tall also - 48kg, 160cm tall. I don't have any dslr camera gadget thingy coz i don't like to bring heavy stuff. I used to bring my lappy coz of my online biz (need to reply email n stuff) but in Jan I got myself the samsung tab 7+ and no need to bring lappy dy - 2kg gone (which is heavy if you ask me). FYI, my check in luggage is my Osprey Transporter 65L which is max carry before 14kg (this one carry on the back) and my backpack (deuter 30L one) is max 7kg (carry in front). No choice coz i used to use the trolley luggage with wheels and it's so troublesome to carry, lug around, slow down my speed etc. At least with these 2 packs, my 2 hands are free to carry more stuff. Of course it's susah to carry THAT many stuff but, what to do, I'm no Paris Hilton. BTW, I don't buy fragile stuff, the pictures are more than enough as souviners coz I know if i like the place, confirm will be back one. I also wish to minimize on handcarry, hence I only have my backpack - all the valuable stuff inside. I used to carry 1 sling back and 1 backpack - so bodoh that time till I saw how my aussie fren did her packing (when i tagged along to phi phi island with her). |

QUOTE(Listiani @ Apr 13 2012, 05:24 PM) I am also petite. My handcarry consists of my 02 nites baju + undergarment (just in case if my luggage gone missing), camera, my shampoo, toothbrush, cleanser, make up etc. I put all those thing to travelling kit. Why would you want to bring the whole make up case when you can put in into smaller jar/bottle? +1QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ Apr 13 2012, 06:12 PM) i din bring whole make up case jz a complete kit in a medium bag in one go. my kit consist of few parts For me, I have the same amount of stuff that you bring but it's in 2 separate b5 size bags (that i bought from FOS - RM5 only hehe). Makeup 1 bag, skincare 1 bag.eyes (cons cleaner machine, lens, solution, artificial tears lubricant) face (liquid foundation, make up, brushes, cleanser, moisturizer, toner, mask, serum, sunblock, makeup removal, eye cream, ampoule) some of the products is separate by day n nite range somemore body n hair (body shampoo, body n hand moisturizer, hair shampoo, conditioner, lotion for the hair) dental set (toot brush, tooth paste, mouthwash, floss) imagine if i wan to put it into a smaller jar/bottle. thn it gotta be alot?? end up it make my hand carry bag heavy. usually i bring small to medium size handbag (put all my impo docs, pen, wallet, hp) so it's convenient for me to carry along during sight seeing. plus i haf a dslr wif backpack tag along as well. nt light ler The rest are in the plastic sealable bag for customs to check. Cleanser & hair mask (coz i use this as conditioner - very dry hair lol) is the only thing that i put in luggage. Makeup remover I just buy biore's wipes (the same range as the oil cleanser) so it'll be easier to bring around. If bring the oil - sure tumpah or something - making life harder. Contact lens solution - i usually buy the 60ml ones. If 1 not enough, then i get 2 incase I go for longer trips but usually the 60ml ones can last for 2 weeks (daily usage). That's about it. I don't bring mask, serum (also dun use), ampoule (this one i dun use). Mask if wan to bring can bring those separately pack one (the one that has the sheet one). At least confirm won't spill or anything. Haha, maybe seems complicated for some but yea. That's about it. |

QUOTE(fastreader @ Apr 30 2012, 10:21 AM) isit comparatively cheaper to book both hotel and flights using the AirAsia website?.. It actually depends on which hotel that you want to stay in.so, isit better to book both flight and hotel one go using AirAsia.com?. If in the case that flight+hotel (the one that you want) is available on airasiago.com, then book it by all means. If say the place you wanna stay is not in the list in aa's website, then book separately lor. |

QUOTE(fastreader @ Apr 30 2012, 03:16 PM) if the place is listed there, isit cheaper?..i've never booked any using airasiago.com..pls do advise me.. Well, you compare la.Try to check the air ticket how much first. For EG. Air Ticket = RM500 Air Ticket+Hotel = RM1000 So obviously hotel costs RM500 On Agoda.com, Hotel = RM400 Then that means agoda cheaper lor. Understand ah? |

QUOTE(fastreader @ May 1 2012, 09:42 AM) yes, i have..but somehow it din breakdown like how much is the flight and how much is the hotel..so dunno whether the convenience charge is included onot. and both option, direct debit and cc, also dun incur any extra charges too. so now awaiting email response from them on this matter. Actually, the charges shld b the same when you book the air ticket.Aiyo, i already told you, check the air ticket price (same date) and then check the package on air asia go. Subtract the price of air ticket and total of package of air asia go, you will get the hotel price la...... For the CC charges, go to air asia website n check. The price is clearly stated there. Or else at air asia's website, search for 'convinience fee'. It will appear one in the search. Direct debit no extra charge. |

QUOTE(Listiani @ May 6 2012, 04:51 PM) not only in LCCT, happened in KLIA also. Our luggage handler are very bad. Even if you make a report, nothing will happen. They have CCTV on the luggage department but since the managers also part of the scam, they will do nothing. Our KL airport is a big embbarasement to the nation. My luggage also kena korek many times. That is why I never put any valuable item in the luggage. I take it with me. Nowadays I will wrap my bag with the plastic wrapper. But how do your friend justify if the luggage got good items? Need some tips for this.My friends used to work with MAS and told me how they work targeting luggage with goods item. For myself, I never put valueables inside my check in bag too. But touch wood, my experiences with KLIA and LCCT has been good from last time till now. Maybe those trolley luggage got some damage (not bad ones but light damage). Now that I'm using soft duffel bag, it's light so even if they throw it around, won't be much damage since the weight is not there to be damage plus the material, even if drop, also no problem. How much is it for the plastic wrapped bag btw? Expensive? |

QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ May 7 2012, 12:29 PM) yes agree!! my sis luggage is locked wif padlock (without combination code QUOTE(RikaaLika @ May 7 2012, 12:59 PM) He lock it with a normal padlock, not the one with combination codes... Sometimes I believe that it's usually not the ppl who tamper with the padlock but, maybe the steel the padlock is made of is kinda soft and when they transfer the luggage, it somehow hit the ground or hook on something somehow. Did you manage to check if the items you placed in your luggage is still in the same condition, nothing moved?everything already came off when we had our luggage.. the zip head is came of already.. |

QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ May 7 2012, 01:21 PM) i assume luggage usually being thrown.. n stuffs inside is messy.. nt too messy till like ppl search d whole luggage bt nt as tidy whn d time we put our clothes n stuffs into our luggage .. If say your luggage is the type that is not full or pack until compact, then hard to say if really got someone go thru your luggage or not lor (especially those hard case ones). As for me, I'm using duffel bag that has got those 2 strap to strap on it to make the bag more compact, so i would know if someone has gone through it..... |
