If look at occupancy on Sri Lankan and MAS to Maldives currently, its quite high. MAS using 737-800 (New and Old) while Sri Lankan using A330 but have to route into CMB. No idea on Cathay.. but for that MAS, 737-800.. sure there will be TV but small shared TV by 2 rows to 1 
MAS currently replacing phase by phase old 737-8 to a new one. New 737-8 have personal TV.
