Depend on car model. If after sound proofing the wheel arch and engine noise is more noticeable is because the wheel arch sound proof is very good (can cover up and make other noise more noticeable) and we can solve the engine noise also by treating the lower firewall, upper firewall and front hood.

2. 4 Inner wheel arch
3. Floor panel
4. Rear boot
5. Door sill with foam

Usually we start with wheel arch treatment first. Then the floor panel and door sill and lastly the rear boot section.

As we know, road noise is the hardest noise to sound proof. Hence the 4 location we must treat in order to achieve good results.

So, start with wheel arch using STP Mastic first.
