Hi sifus and experts of houses out there,

I just installed my new toilet bowl, is called Serifite. After i flush, the water that flows back into the tank is soooooooooo slow, like very very slow. It takes like 10-15 mins to fill up the whole bowl before able to flush again.

Anyone knows how come like this..and any way to rectify the problem?

Thanks.

i think there's a screw adjuster to adjust the water flow .. should be somewhere near the water inlet to the bowl

kucingfight, thanks! i'll check it out.

weikee: the water pressure is pretty bad, i guess due to rusty old pipes. If use the water at only "one place", then it's totally fine. But if u share water usage .. for eg. bath and kitchen, then the kitchen one will become super small.

Was thinking is it because when do renovation all the rustiness fell into the pipes causing it a bit blockage or something...hmm

but doesn't explain why water flow into the tank is so small..

If the pipe is old, should have change the pipe when renovating.

You can try take out mechanism and wash maybe it help (as you suspect rust was build up)

the rubber must have worn out and stuck there(where the water flows into the tank area). had this problem all the time,i normally grease it and it's back to normal.

Yes, the filters are probably stuck with debris. I don't know about your particular tank filling system, but I was told by a friend of mine that his had 3 filters, and he had to take apart the thing in order to clean out all the filters.

1) Before you change the toilet bowl, are you facing this problem?
2) Have you check whether the stopcock have fully turn ON? as when replacing the toilet bowl, they will OFF it and may only turn on half itself
3) Open the toilet bowl tank cover and check, if not mistake that should have a control of water flow around the pipe area

Or is that any taps that link with the stopcock and is the water small or big?
