i cant update it i dont know why..i have the fastest connection, latest kies..still it isnt showing any update, i bought my from Bahrain

maybe yours 2.3.4 is the latest version for your region

which gps can be installed in sgs 2 ? any tutorials plzzz

btw how should i backup my contacts? if i go to contacts, then i export data to sd card, will i be able to restore after i flash?

another thing i'm wondering..

how does titanium backup restore the apps if we wipe everything? i thought it will be a factory reset and the apps will disappear? wouldnt titanium disappear too?

that I have no idea. mine is none G and sme official rom is still 2.3.3 while other region already got 2.3.4/2.3.5

titanium creates a backup of those files in your SD card (or if u dont have an SD card in the internal memory) its in the folder called Titanium Back Up. Transfer those files to PC. Wipe device. Reinstall titanium (with root of cuz) and put those files back to device, restore, wala

thanks a lot.. silly question here, but how do i sync contacts with google? I'm kinda confused with this.

In your contacts tab, press menu, you will see a merge with google function. If your contacts are sync with google they will have a "g" at the side.

Example, malaysian non G is still 2.3.3 while other countries non-G is up to 2.3.5

oh so its that? i did it before and it messed up my contacts. and then i read from someone's post that we have to merge them just once then ok edi rite?

the thing is.. if i merge those in my phone with the ones with a G sign, how do i sync the remaining ones in my phone with no G sign?

I did that a long time ago on my HD2 so not really remember. Yes it mess up my contacts and i have to sort it all out, merge, delete extras, etc. until i only got google contacts left. Nothing in phone / sim contacts (deleted all). So after that just sync with google when i change phone or flash new rom. New contacts i auto set as google contact only.

You bought in Bahrain, Kies will not allow you to update because of different country code. OTA may also be blocked because of this. Best is to take it to a service centre and ask them to flash the latest for you.
