-Anything else I should update or install that is really useful in order to make it a better phone? A USD1-5 dollar shouldn't be a problem as long as it's really useful and important. My Mom's not gonna jailbreak/root the phone btw.

Yeah it was me & my Mom.
He also told us that the Note costs RM2500!!
Pity my Mom cause she prefers Note cause of the bigger screen, a big screen is more suitable for her cause her eyes ain't that good anymore.
She found the RM600 too much so went with the Galaxy S2 instead.

Your SGS2 G or non G version. Type *#1234# too see the current rom, radio and CSC version or as what shizuru wrote.

I can tell you majority of the users on android in the world don't use antivirus including myself. This is not windows PC. Since you are not rooting the phone and like i said before your mum is not installing pirated apps there is really no need to get an antivirus app.

On any other app to recommend it will depend on what your using the phone for.

What is your current rom version? Can the PC detect your device in the first place?

Added on November 21, 2011, 7:37 pmOh look Documents to Go is free on Amazon today. Those that have not tried it should get it. For me its the best office app on android. Remember Amazon is only giving the unlock key. You still need to install the main app.

just go to APPS DRAWER, press MENU and then EDIT.

Have you tried restoring data only for TW launcher using titanium?

Fix for noise reduction always off. But you have to do it yourself until someone add a fix for you rom version.

Apart from reading about it, do you think you can feel any difference about the 2 models in everyday use? I think not. The only major difference you will encounter is if you want to use custom rom/kernels.

Try to clear data in camera or revert to initial settings of camera to see if it can focus.

Plus most people who use the phone not knowing about custom rom and stuff would not even know about ICS. So its not really an issue for them. Furthermore, official ICS will come out eventually.

The key need to be installed all the time. Do not uninstall it.

Yes. All unlock key need to be installed together with main app. Eg. Titanium, poweramp, etc.

CRT on SGS2 sucx big time compared to other devices because there is still no real CRT yet at the moment. If you want, you can use this app, Screen Off and Lock. It gives better CRT effect.

In your contacts tab, press menu, you will see a merge with google function. If your contacts are sync with google they will have a "g" at the side.

What is your current rom version? The 2.3.6 we know is for malaysian official G version rom. It will differ from country to country.

Example, malaysian non G is still 2.3.3 while other countries non-G is up to 2.3.5

I did that a long time ago on my HD2 so not really remember. Yes it mess up my contacts and i have to sort it all out, merge, delete extras, etc. until i only got google contacts left. Nothing in phone / sim contacts (deleted all). So after that just sync with google when i change phone or flash new rom. New contacts i auto set as google contact only.

Titanium never failed me before. Never use mybackup before

Wipe data + wipe cache + wipe dalvik cache. Thats all.

the jkay always came out with dialog ask me to reinstall the application

Jkay haven't released mod for KJ3 yet. Not using checkrom 3.1.1 so not sure what is the problem.

Eh all samsung rom for me about the same. So not much diff. More stable i suppose and more theme and mod support.
