I think there's a little misconception you guys have there, audio bit depth is just a digital representation of how much information to keep from an analog recording, more or less the same like a picture resolution, whether or not 16bit or 24bit matters it depends on the content of the recording itself, imagine this scenario:
Do you think it matters whether you use 18MP or 12MP resolution from the same DSLR to shoot a plain white wall?
Yes, 18MP or 12MP will take same picture for white wall but if you save in 8bit, 24bit or 32bit, it will be using different color shade.
Try to change your monitor color quality to 8bit (if still have), 16 bit or 32bit. If your monitor use all white wallpaper, all look same. Try with a colorful wallpaper.
Apply that to music... do you think which one is better between 8 bit, 16bit and 24bit?
