I would like to highlight how I fully utilize the eReader Pro application to get free eBooks. Hopefully this knowledge will benefit some of you as it has done for me.
eReader Pro
eReader Pro is an application used to read eBooks on your Palm OS, Pocket PC, Symbian Smartphone, Windows, Windows Mobile Smartphone or Mac. This means that eReader Pro can be used with an incredible array of devices (handheld, smartphone, tablet or computer).
eReader Pro can read doc files. A doc file is a type of handheld file that ends in either .pdb or .prc.
There is no charge to download and use eReader Pro. However, there is charge if you buy eBooks directly from eReader.com or other chargeable eBook websites.

Free eBooks through Legitimate Means
You can download free legitimate eBooks from the websites listed below:
i) Project Gutenberg
ii) Many Books.net
iii) Free eBooks.net
Please feel free to state your own source of free legitimate eBooks and I will gladly add it to the above list.
Kindly take note that free legitimate eBooks mostly consist of obscure or copyright-expired titles. Meaning, you only have a limited selection of eBooks if you choose to download it free and legitimate. Less-known titles and classic books are best obtained through this method.
Free eBooks through Dubious Means
The beauty of living in the Internet age is that things are not always in black or white. For clues on how to obtain free eBooks regardless of the title, please refer to my dubious suggestions below:
- Dubious Suggestion I -
Convert a text file (.txt), word document (.doc) or image file (.jpeg, .gif, .png) into eReader Pro format (.pdb)
As stated earlier, eReader Pro reads eBooks in either .pdb or .prc formats. If you have a text file, word document or image file that you wish to convert into .pdb format, please visit the below website. The instructions on how to convert are crystal clear. Personally, I have yet to try the word document and image file conversion, but I vouch that the text file conversion works perfectly.

Download eBooks in various formats through Google Search
Google Search can be used to search for particular filetypes. For example, let's say you want to search for the title "Think and Grow Rich" by "Napoleon Hill" in .pdf format.
Type "think and grow rich" filetype:pdf under Google Search and press Search.
The above example does not include the author name because you usually do not need the author name to search for well-known titles. Only include the author name if your search results are incomplete or has no viable returns. The above example uses the .pdf format as most eBooks can be obtained through Google Search in well established formats such as .pdf or .doc. It is quite difficult to directly obtain .pdb books through this method.

Be creative!
Use a combination of dubious means to download your free eBook. For example, let's say you have downloaded a .pdf format of "Think and Grow Rich" through the Dubious Suggestion II method. You can proceed to copy-paste the entire content into a notepad text file (.txt). Then, you can convert the new copy-pasted .txt file to .pdb file through the Dubious Suggestion I method and voila! You have your dubious eBook.
You can also use other methods such as downloading sets of free eBooks from direct download forums or websites. As long as it is in proper formats of either .pdb or .prc, eReader Pro should have no problem reading it.
Conclusion
To me, this is a great way of organizing and keeping track of your eBooks, especially if you are prepared to be dubious. Plus, you can have dozens of titles in your pocket and on the go!
Currently, I have dozens of mostly classic titles in my Symbian eReader Pro and I am alternating between digital copies of H.G. Wells' The Island of Dr. Moreau and Herman Hesse's Siddharta. I got them both through legitimate means and I could not be a happier man.
