Chalk me up for a new user. Got mine at the 11/11/11 launch, contract with Celcom. The screen is beyond beautiful, you don't know where the screen ends and where the bezel begins! GB is mature enough for my taste. The speaker is freaking loud. The snappiness matches my iPad 2 in most cases. With ample usage today, I've ran it down to about 30% before arriving home for charging.

I have not tried voice calling yet, coz for some reason the new Celcom line that comes with this Note have not activated yet.

Also updated to the new firmware update just now.N7000DXKK1.

The Note is rooted using zergrush exploit, so that I can get to US Android Market and download my purchased apps.

But I can't stress enough praises about the screen. Damn, it's so beautiful! And you can even set the screen mode to Dynamic (like their TV modes!) that made the color so vivid and vibrant, it's insane!

For the time being, I'm using this as a tablet, not a phone. My 4S covers that. So this is in direct competition with my iPad 2, and with the exception of games, I can see this complementing almost all the apps I use on my iPad 2. Zinio/Reader Hub is simply MADE FOR THIS DEVICE, not to mention book reading as well.

Thanks waveweaver! I've been using Android sporadically, and used Dell Streak, Desire HD, Galaxy S, Nook and Motorola Xoom before, so Android isn't new to me. smile.gif

Anybody knows where I can get the Samsung Galaxy Note Desktop Dock?

Maths and common sense need to be applied here. Which one is the largest you think?

Trying my best not to sound sarcastic.

Personally I'd think that you guys punya expectations for a threadstarter may be too much for some to bear. Why not share that responsibility with any threadstarter so that any new info can be added in without the one fishing around for info all the time. Anyone can be a TS and any new info, you present it in your post and PM the TS to be included in the first post. That way, all you need is not someone who is very knowledgeable on the product, but just someone who is in this thread often enough so that he can update the first post when new info emerges. Simple as that.

This is a forum after all and in a forum, the contributor is not just the TS but everyone else in between. Also don't expect to be spoonfed, instead be a productive participant in the thread by helping others answer their queries or look up the answers yourself if the first post is well updated.

That way, you don't need a singular person to cover many threads just because he is the only expert around, you can get anyone who is willing to grow and become an expert to be the TS. That is how you groom people to be proficient. I'm sure Benny had to start somewhere, and read up on the things needed to know become he became proficient.Learning takes time and commitment. Why don't someone else do the same and be like him?

The receipt is your warranty in case you cannot fish around for the SMS e-warranty. In my case, I'm holding dearly to my receipt since Celcom's time frame of processing new lines can be up to 7 days. My Note is basically a tablet now relying on the YES4G connection.

Shouldn't you get a physical paper warranty when you buy from a non-telco source? I get that impression when that is the case.

My case even worse. New line signup takes up 7 days to activate. Until line activated, there's no way I can any form of SMS to get that ewarranty. The receipt is my only way of claiming anything.

The deliciousness of the Galaxy Note screen just begs to have movies to watch on it. The problem is, a movie at 720p on MKV format is larger that 4GB, the largest filesize Android can accept. Sigh......

Initially I used the flip case, but it's so irritating having to flip open to type I've gone back and use the normal back cover. No bling2 available when I registered.

file >4gb put in sd card cant? nowdays movie file size aint small.

Even exFAT32 filesystem can't handle file size bigger than 4GB size. If you slap it in, it will copy over, but your movie player will not play past the 4GB size.

have u been to UK? i wonder if there is any place like "ulu place".  biggrin.gif

they are just not very alert with new gadgets actually. for normal users, they will be informed maybe after about a period of time after D-day, not like geeks like us, even waiting for D-day since months before.  blush.gif

You're asking me? I've been all over, and yes, even in places like Germany, Italy or France, there are Ulu places where all they have are land lines, not cellphones, and farms filled with dairy animals, and farming/agricultural products. So yes, my buddy living in Swindon can attest to being ignorant over what's new.
