QUOTE(whoknow88 @ Nov 10 2011, 08:15 PM) For those who want to get the Note & bundle with Telco plan one . U guys might need to get New number from Digi/Celcom . hopefully it will not be any problem for me. I already on DiGi line, just need to recontract for another 1 year. Else, i just go over the other booth and sign up Celcom. Just called celcom & they say didnt provide telco switch service on their road show at Pavilion.. But im not sure his info can be trusted or not .. |

QUOTE(whoknow88 @ Nov 10 2011, 08:31 PM) i'm using hotlink and want to change to celcom , that's the problem come to me =( but i actually doubt so. The mobile line market is so congested now. They won't expect so many ppl turn up to buy the Galaxy Note and sign up a new mobile line - does not make sense at all. dont wanna change new No. |

QUOTE(kael90 @ Nov 10 2011, 08:33 PM) Nope, it is THE marketing strategy - in their favour though. They will partner with telco to entice ppl to sign up new line/contract then only turn to those who afford to buy one without line. The strategy is to get those "ultimate desperate" to get a mobile line just to get few days head start. It actually happened at last year DHD launch by DiGi. A Maxis user went sign up a new line at DiGi just to get the DHD earlier as DiGi has exclusive for a month or few weeks, can't really remember. He just ditch the DiGi sim card and plug in his Maxis sim card on the spot. |

QUOTE(un_id @ Nov 10 2011, 08:53 PM) I wonder... should be able to. Your contract should be extend for another 12 months. i think i heard some one mentioned this last year BUT i am not 100% sure it is DiGi or not. I still hv around 3 months contract with digi. Am i eligible to sign another contract with digi with the single line? actually my DiGi contract also only expiring on Dec 3 but hopefully i can just extend for another 12 months. But if they do not let existing customer like us to sign contract before expiry, they may lose us as their customer as we will be free and can sign up for any other telcos if they insist we need to wait for contract to expire before can sign up new contract. So more logical for them to let us extend the contract before it expires. This post has been edited by Cynox: Nov 10 2011, 09:06 PM |

QUOTE(AaronJoYee @ Nov 10 2011, 09:12 PM) My friend called DIGI just now. You cannot mix Iphone plan with this Samsung Galaxy Note. You have to wait for your Iphone plan to finish only can apply for the Note. UNLESS!! You are buying the Iphone 4S. In other words, Iphone plan only can sit on another iphone plan. Cannot mix with other phones. So sad. but i am not on iphone plan. I am on Desire HD android RM68 smartplan, should be no problem to extend the same smartplan kua. |

QUOTE(un_id @ Nov 10 2011, 09:17 PM) I called digi helpline just now. The operator say cannot extend contract! If i wanna terminate contract hv to pay penalties.. the other way round she said i can sign another contract, means i will hv 2 contract if i do that. Guess what i replied her? I said "better i go sign another contract with celcom!".. then she become speechless.. LOL.. digi definitely gonna lose me whenever im done with this contract.. i hate dictators.. haha... if tomorrow the DiGi staff at the booth dare to tell me this, I will just walk to the opposite Celcom booth in front of his/her eyes. dun take his/her words for it - too many times these operators are not updated with proper info. if you ask another operators, they may give you another answer. EDIT: ooppsss... looks like DiGi really has a bad business sense to not let existing customer extend contract. This post has been edited by Cynox: Nov 10 2011, 09:24 PM |

QUOTE(AaronJoYee @ Nov 10 2011, 09:29 PM) Maxis has been good to us. Allow us to extend the same contract. Only DIGI. Not sure about Celcom. All the best to them achieving 9999 Galaxy Note sales. Almost impossible if cannot extend a plan. but i heard too many horror story of Maxis charging excessive data charges on their data plan. So play safe and switch to DiGi from Maxis last year during the DHD launch. anyway, if really cannot extend before expiry, will just wait till Dec 3. DiGi Smartplan is still the most suitable plan for me coz my phone call and sms are very very few. |

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Nov 10 2011, 09:52 PM) honestly, dun be angry yet. better to be there at centre and ask. like all customer service, the ppl there follow standard script. logically, there should not be a reason for digi not to extend your contract. context is guaranteed (legally speaking) money. plus, yours is near the end, ma... yes, my sentiment exactly. Even if the standard procedure cannot but you may find one promoter/staff that just let you recontract before expiry. Other telco i am not sure but DiGi Centre and their resellers have different operating procedure and sometime differ vastly in their policy. Eg. (again taken with DiGi Desire HD launch last year), DiGi supposed to sell DHD only with contract for the exclusive period but some one manage to buy one from a reseller without contract, at full price of course, on day one. as for maxis, yes... well known for their unlimited surfing and charging. |

DiGi still so slow as usual. Their web site not updated with GNote info yet.
Added on November 11, 2011, 9:31 am QUOTE(m1muiz @ Nov 11 2011, 09:20 AM) i think cannot buy outright without a plan, right? dun waste your time queue at the wrong place. According to info in this thread, if you want to buy without a plan, must go SEP to get it today (correct me if i m wrong). Unless there is a SEP there at Pavilion. Good luck in hunting the Note today!!! This post has been edited by Cynox: Nov 11 2011, 09:32 AM |

anyhow, later will just try my luck at DiGi see whether can extend my contract or not. If really cannot then may just wait for the white colour one (if it is not available at launch today), hopefully by early next month the white colour will arrive.

QUOTE(creap @ Nov 11 2011, 10:44 AM) Im just curious, what's the diff other than getting the phone cheaper with Digi SmartPlan compare to their non-contract SmartPlan? no difference for the current Note offer. Previously for DHD, the early birds get another RM20-30/month (can't remember the exact amount) discount for 6 months. |
