QUOTE(Hico @ Nov 12 2011, 12:54 AM) wow..only now i know it After using your NOTE, I am very sure you will not want to use the Dell Streak anymore. The Dell Streak is now suddenly an old man versus a teenager in the NOTE. Everything on the NOTE works so much smoother and faster on the NOTENote is really spacious! and i feel tat note's screen is a bit nicer and more saturated compare to s2.. my family also say like that.. and so much slimmer compare to streak.. putting both together, its like one ah pek phone compare to one young trendy phone.. |

QUOTE(8823 @ Nov 12 2011, 11:00 AM) I use Sygic Aura - perfect. I switch the licence i bought for sgs II iver to the Note. Beautiful excellent graphics, user friendly n can navigate using coordinatesFor papago x5 you need to run spareparts first unselect compatible mode and manually change the biggest folder under navisea/organic and all its subfolders to Note resolution. The overall graphic presentation is poor and menu hanging in middle |

QUOTE(mysai @ Nov 12 2011, 01:26 PM) Benny, I am getting a response saying "Unsupported resolution 800X1280" when I launch Papago. Done all the compatibility process in Spare parts already too. Any idea? Did you rename all the subfolders too under organic? It definitely work with just one try for meAdded on November 12, 2011, 1:32 pm QUOTE(brainpower @ Nov 12 2011, 01:25 PM) Hi Waveweaver, thanks for the reply. QUOTE(syedakmal @ Nov 12 2011, 02:03 PM) Hopefully got 3rd party browser works better than the stock browser. Never like stock browser. My favorites are xscope and dolphin hdYeah i will root. Maybe will take time to read & learn steps to root. The last phone i root is desire & the legendary hd2. Rooting the note is way much easier than the htc and is very unlikely you will brick it Added on November 12, 2011, 2:09 pm QUOTE(un_id @ Nov 12 2011, 02:05 PM) Guys.. for those who doubt, Papago X5 can run : attached screen shots - only issue is the menu hanging in middle
This is the detailed procedure: 1. Download spareparts from market. Launch it - scroll down and untick "Compatibilty Mode". Soft reset phone 2. Select the largest folder, Amend/rename in mnt/ sdcard : Navisea/Organic to 800X1280. For the subfolders CHT, EN, IND, MY - amend/rename the same folder to 800X1280 This post has been edited by benny888: Nov 12 2011, 06:00 PM |

QUOTE(limyusiong @ Nov 12 2011, 03:40 PM) OR just use the free app BatteryCalibration which in principle does the same thing - removing the battery stats file. Charge the phone to full, execute the app - select " click battery calibration". Unplug phonePhone need to be rooted to use this app |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Nov 12 2011, 05:04 PM) Hmmm..so far i keep hearing about the lag issue while browsing.Somebody should piled up things that we should do when we got out phone since i heard problems like when u write with the pen,the writing appeared away from the point u touch with the pen, then battery problems and dead pixels.Papago X5 also not really working properly unless u apply the fix that Uncle Benny taught us. I have no lag issue in browsing as I do not use the stock browser. I use mainly Xscope which is the smoothest and fastest browser I have tested. My other favorite is Dolphin HD with its gestures features. Stock browser since my usage of the first Android till now never appeals to me as mostly I find it not as smooth as XScope and Dolphin HDEven on my HTC's androids i find the stock browser still unable to match these 3rd party ones |
