QUOTE(Cynox @ Nov 15 2011, 05:55 PM) just notice Note does not have LED notification, does it? so must turn on the screen to know there is miss call, unread mail, low battery status? Stock Gingerbread dont have BackLight Notification (BLN). Either your wait for custom rom that include BLN features or wait for official ICS updates which have BLN features :-)) |

QUOTE(komputermuzik @ Nov 15 2011, 07:48 PM) No, the updates is FOC. There are three ways now on how to get ICS updates when it comes.1) FOTA 2) Kies 3) Flashing (mostly for rooted phone) This post has been edited by waveweaver: Nov 15 2011, 07:52 PM |

QUOTE(aruja_69 @ Nov 15 2011, 07:49 PM) Anyone encounter the blue patch when u go photo gallery and swipe to last picture..it have blue patch beside It's blue scrolling effect (last time it's bouncing effect).Again one of latest Note features. Dont worry :-) Added on November 15, 2011, 8:01 pm QUOTE(nazfaliq @ Nov 15 2011, 07:54 PM) Hmm.. so the Battery in Galaxy Note is good...is it? Battery is good. You can get atleast one full day on moderate usage and 8 - 14 hours for heavy usage.and how about the S-Pen's accuracy? is it good? actually i love this phone of course of its big screen since i am heavy mobile browser and i use GPS a lot.. Still waiting for the official ICS upgrade for Note, waiting for some reviews on the upgrades first then decide whether taking it or not.. i hope this phone will be my 1st android for me can can serve me well just as my nokia 5800 served me well 3 years..^^ S Pen is accurate enough that you can use it easily though not as easy as writing on paper ~lol~ - You have to wait quite some time if you need ICS as most probably it only be release by the middle of next year. QUOTE(entaro @ Nov 15 2011, 11:13 PM) Guys, had the phone for 5 days now.. is it advisable to calibrate the battery or it is advisable to perform this on a new phone? Why do you need battery calibration? Did you flash custom rom or rooting.? Or your battery culculation goes haywire already.?? o_Othanks. |

QUOTE(patayabomb @ Nov 15 2011, 11:15 PM) guys when I bought the phone from the shop, the sales guy said charge it for 8 hours straight for the first time. No harm done. You can even start using your phone once the battery full. No need to wait for 8 hours. That's for NiCad or NiMah battery not for Li-Ion or Li-PolymerBut the thing is, while charging for 1 hour plus, my bro turned the charger off. I only realised that 2 hours after. Then I continue charging it. Any harm done? |

QUOTE(entaro @ Nov 15 2011, 11:47 PM) No custom rom yet... rooted though.... just want to ask you guys if can calibrate it or not for new phone... seems calibration of battery is recommended when you flash custom rom... Since you're rooted already then you can use Battery Calibrator app free from market. Much easier :-)QUOTE(patayabomb @ Nov 16 2011, 12:16 AM) I noticed that I'll have to PRESS the s pen instead of just touching it. is that the same with your note as well? You can change the S Pen setting whether your dominant hand is right or left hander.Plus I wonder whether will there be a left handed note where the s pen drawer is on the left instead... That would make it perfect though! |

QUOTE(daryl020189 @ Nov 16 2011, 07:06 AM) No., it won't make you battery last longer. Calibration meant to make the battery reading accurate.QUOTE(danieloo @ Nov 16 2011, 07:07 AM) Was using Go Launcher for the past few days ....it got worst. The screen to screen scrolling lag like hell....I wonder why? SGS2 have no hickup at all.... Most probably because of different resolution. Had to wait the launcher creator/developer to rectify this ASAP :-)Anyone encounter the same issue? |

Whoaa..good news :-))
Looks like we can use other capacitive pen on our Note. Now i can feel at ease using my big capacitive pen (with rubber tip) as it will eliminate fingerprints and possible micro scratch when using the hard point S Pen. p/s - but using S Pen is more accurate o_O |
