Thanks in advance.

Regarding truss rod adjustment on an acoustic guitar, how many turns normailly would it take, if the guitar has not been setup-ed for a long period of time? Say, 2 years?

And when we restring our guitars, what is the best way to dispose the used strings?

^it should always be adjusted quarter turn at a time (or less)

for a guitar that is long unattended, its best to release all the tension in the truss rod by doing CCW turns all the way, then slowly bring the neck tension back.

Better sent to a tech job if youre unsure..

Thanks!

Just did the setup accordingly, and now my guitar plays like a dream.

Took me one whole day. I turn the truss rod screw CW (to tighten it and bring the neck upward) a quarter turn for every hour then re-tune and test.

Requires patience, but really pays.

Hi John, I believe u do electronics for electric guitars as well.

Can u provide tips and tricks during soldering the pickups into the circuit, as well as how to extend short cables, and any related issues?

Many thanks!

My condolences.

Still can repair, but the tone would be very different afterwards.
