QUOTE(feekle @ Jan 24 2012, 08:05 PM) my unit.. when i connect my broadband modem (digi) ALWAYS disconnected which i find VERY annoying & its slow to detect the modem presence when i plug it in the USB port + the speaker..sometimes when listening to music, the music turned off itself hence i have to re-open winamp & replay the song & its back to normal. After using it for a while, a strange sound comes out from the left side... You are not alone with that first problem. I'm on UniFi and my wireless internet connection randomly drops at times and it is becoming more and more frequent. Strangely though, it doesn't seem to be happening for my desktop and my other labtop, but just my N55. It is only when I run the "troubleshoot" or "repair" that the issue is eradicated. Other times it just seems to fix itself... so weird .

Did anyone with an N55SF update their graphics driver lately? I have recently updated it to NVIDIA 301.42 and the Windows Experience Index dropped back to 4.8 for graphics :\

QUOTE(chronous @ May 23 2012, 09:31 AM) 4.8 is for AERO or gaming graphics? Any performance increase or decrease noticed during gaming? Aero graphics. It was much higher before when I originally set it up (5.9 was the lowest). In regards to gaming, I don't think there's an increase or decrease in performance and if so, it is negligible. One thing I did note though, while playing Saints Row 3, it doesn't seem to work on DX 10/11 mode for some reason (might be the game's fault) and it seems to be running on Intel HD Graphics 3000 instead of NVIDIA GT 555M. QUOTE(chronous @ May 23 2012, 09:43 AM) What? Have you tried to right click and select 'Run with Nvidia bla3' ? Saints Row 3 runs off Steam so you can't right click and "Run with Nvidia...". Even so, the settings are set to Nvidia on default (I changed it). It should automatically detect anyways. QUOTE(ahhoe80 @ May 23 2012, 01:43 PM) I seemed to stumble across alot of complaint threads on ASUS FBOOK wall and also quite a number of complaint threads in LYN on their aftersales service. Now giving me second thoughts on ASUS brand in general.. Any opinion guys? I never had a problem with their after sales service and I hope it stays that way. Their online support is pretty responsive and helpful too. This post has been edited by MrSaints: May 23 2012, 01:45 PM

QUOTE(Duckies @ May 23 2012, 05:06 PM) Ori?Haha u can right click and click "Run with Nvidia" if it's pirated coz it doesnt run through Steam.Btw,u can also add in manually inside Nvidia control panel. Yea I did, but it's hard to tell if it really is using NVIDIA over integrated graphics. Anyways, I'm still curious if anyone else had a decrease in rating after upgrading their drivers.
