no, i've check the connector and its still ok.. no traces of dirt or watever.. it could be the windows i installed (windows xdark edition).. plus some of the asus utilities doesnt work (ex splendid utility).. even when i wanted to boot to asus music now, i had to press at least 3 times before i could boot in..

It shouldn't affect the notebook when its off though..

hmm, if you have to press like that from off to start music now, isn't it something to do with your hardware?

Wats the differences between "power4gear high performance" and 'high performance" mode..?

isn't it the same? my power4gear gadget have high performance, entertainment, quiet office and battery saving.

you have 2 type of high performance?

the "High performance" option is under ~ More power option ~ when u left click the battery icon at the system tray.. Try any heavy gaming using both of this plan? ... wondering why the gaming in "Power4gear HP.." is better/no lagging than this normal high performance plan, in fact both "advance power settings" are the same i guess... i tot more power more better the gaming expriences?.. mmm..

i see, probably it is the laptop's own setting provided by windows, as long as the settings are the same i guess even battery saving can be the same as high performance lol.

haven't got any heavy game for the moment lol, waiting skyrim to finish dl then can try XD.

Just now put my ear at the adapter there and i able to listen some "zee zee" inside there ... If u dun mind , can help me check whether yours adapter also got this kind of sound when u put ur ear and listen to the adapter ? thank ..

i think no have any problem with laptop , just the adapter , once u on then got that kind of sound edi , but so far didn't show me any problem , but bit scary to heard some sound ..

i'm using asus N55SF..please help..sometimes when i play video and music, its lag..even when booting from windows, the windows startup sound also lag...

Your access time quite slow compared to this one..

does that means that my hdd had failed??..i want to claim warranty from asus..need to prove that my hdd had failed..i've done this test after reformatting the laptop

Not really say it failed, could be something is using the HDD, hence the slower access time..

but then how about while playing dota, im experiencing some lag..does thats doesn't mean anything? and of course, that lag happen before im formatting the laptop. after formatting,i still can feel some lag there. it goes the same while playing the videos, there are still some lag, but not much as before i formatting the laptop.

Can you do the test after restart, with nothing opened ?
