Hi all, i am a newbie to the car sound audio circle. Please advise me if i have rm800 budget, what brand, model & price range i can change my standard HU to a good sound clarity HU unit. I don't need usb features but i want bluetooth for my future use:) 1-din is good enough already. For now, I am targeting HU 1st...take 1 step at a time!

Hi Zennn, will this be my only choice? Quite a nice model throughout & what's more, it is an Alpine! cool:)

Can I ask you, if 1 more step higher model then will be how much please?

ok, noted on the big price differences bro zennn, tqvm. I am reserving the cde-125bt model as my 1st choice first, now i am surveying JVC as my frend told me their sound also very clear, hope it's true.

I'm using the JVC 2 din to power up my polyglass slims. Around your budget. Burr brown DAC , bluetooth, variable colour LCD with 5V preout, I find it value for money.

This.

The best MP3 navigator both iphone, USB and Zune. Its firmware based. May not have DAC but it still good if you're just going to upgrade for daily use. You can even plug in a usb hub and place even more USB drives. Can view videos too.

Price i recall last time at kedai abang was around 800++

yea, another great contender, however, i dont quite like the brand & design concept but i am appreciated. Now, my choice is narrow down to 1st, JVC with 2nd, Alpine. now, i need to go audit the sounds for comparison:)

I'm using alpine. Sound wise, it's good. or should I say very good for mp3. The only downside is, navigation is sluggish and USB needs to be bank. Other than that, it's excellent.
