Read the Stickies posted in the Bodybuilding & Strength Training page. Should cover the basics there.

Easiest is to get a friend who is experienced, it's kinda tough to start on your own unless you comb through lots of articles and threads but then again you don't have experience, so a friend or at least a gym assistant or the guy who manages your gym can help you start out.

Read the sticky threads on starting strengths, do your cardio, eat healthily. No you don't need a personal trainer unless you have a very well-defined goal that has to be achieved in a short time, or if you're just rich biggrin.gif or if you're lazy.

Read articles. Bring your handphone to gym. Open YouTube. Watch it and do !
I do that as my first time. And of course there is member at gym will teach you if your form is wrong. Don't worry.
Lastly, eat more. smile.gif

I remember myself starting with body weight exercises via boot camp style training, then switching to weight training after 3 months of that. Found that it gave me a pretty solid foundation to begin with.
