hello im new here..i just need some help for anyone here know how to recover my samsung galaxy s2...earlier i tried to root my phone with odin n litening 6-0...i carefully followed all the instruction even play the video about rooting this phone during reading the instruction...but when odin say the operation is fail...i just stuck in the download mode and then it turn off it self and now i got to face these cute couple of icons which is if im not mistaken its like a phone dot dot dot warning sign dot dot dot computer..and now i just tearing my hair for being me....please help me...

Boot into download mode and flash a new stock rom.

i tried it...but how to do so???...i cant make it boot to download mode..it just keeps showing that annoying icons...
please...if i take it to the store i bought it do you think they can solve it???...or this will effect my warranty???

Reinsert the battery and boot into download mode? Yeah they can fix it.

Seems like you soft bricked your phone,is your phone i9100g? Or just i9100? Its very crucial as i9100g has no custom roms at the moment,flashing i9100 roms(all custom roms are for i9100now) will soft brick your device. try hold down power button till it shuts down completely,then go into download mode. Need to tell me if its a g or non g sgs2 to tell u next step

mine is with g one...i tried to...but after i hold the power button that icon will gone but it comes back after 2 second...the only way i can shut it down completely is to remove the battery...

No wonder,flashing non g custom rom on g version will brick your device. Pullout battery,put in battery,boot into download mode,connect ur device to pc once into download mode,open up odin, download the kernel from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327509 download v1.1, click pda,select the file you downloaded then done

i gave up man!!!...i just went to samsung yesterday and luckily they didnt ask any questions..i just handed my galaxy and they just made me wait for 2 hours and its ok now..in the receipt they mention about mother board replacement...thnx 4 the info man...really!!...becuz i didnt realize they have replace GT-19100 with the 19100G..unfortunately with some link and google i found out that G one has a different prossesor...and samsung not even mention it...i fell cheated!!....GT-19100 is the better one...

bro surely this is ur own fault la make sure u do some reading and research first before doing something especially rooting or flashing rom.. i9100G had been in m'sia market since around sept if i'm not mistaken

i'm planning to get one as well , but a friend of mine told me to get the Non-G version , but currently all selling G only ...

so no choice but to get G version fr SME , with 2 yrs warranty ...

is there really big difference between the G and non G ?

i disagree with u...but respectfully..this is totally samsung fault or that celcom store fault bcuz they didnt mention it..not even at the box...i did have read about samsung galaxy but i didnt know there r G and Non G thing...i thought they r both the same thing...hell im not even realize about G existent..but if it does G must be the better one..think about it!...if u buy something u gotta pick the latest version right???...but as u said..a little is my fault cuz my ignorant...

R u sure no g on the box? For the i9100g version, it's clearly written on the box, and have sticker on the back also.

Added on November 11, 2011, 9:49 ampositive!!!....when my phone brick yesterday...i started to googled how to recover it...and register to some forum including this...and the other forum guy ask me about G and NOn G thing...i cant answer it becuz my phone cannot turn on...and the box not mention it...faktap rite???

Well at least the service center entertain you and make a replacement FOC even though you bricked flashing it
Proof again the service center do not bother about whether you have root/flash rom
Which service center did you sent in your unit

usb jig... can force ur phone to download mode.... but im sure working with sgs and sgs2 non g version...

Uh,so before you send to sc,yours was a non g model? Then after you sent it to sc,they changed the motherboard and it became g version? G model also has its pros,like it gets official firmware updates faster,less heat,and better battery life. If you buy g model,it will state it behind the box.
