sometimes when got that "feel" to buy the game that time, very hard to hold it mah... if got shop then can direct go buy and play. Because buy online need to wait few days.... even 1 day will make the different for me

This is one of the main reasons gamers turn to pirates.

Let's just say Penang is not very friendly when it comes to video game IPs.
Piracy is especially rampant here. Penangites have been accustomed to buying pirated shit for many years, it's not a surprise that there's no retailer here. |

QUOTE(Enclave Recruit @ Nov 9 2011, 11:34 PM) Let's just say Penang is not very friendly when it comes to video game IPs. I second that. Its already very hard to find original software, let alone games.Piracy is especially rampant here. Penangites have been accustomed to buying pirated shit for many years, it's not a surprise that there's no retailer here. Even my friends prefer to buy from forum members here (the seller's from Johor I think) than going to the shops in Penang to buy. If you still insist on buying original games in penang, your best bet are actually the cafe operators. I bought my WoW from netcity. This post has been edited by SnoWFisH: Nov 10 2011, 12:01 AM |

Problem with buying online from reputable seller is that the parcel still might be lost halfway in delivery.... especially by Pos Malaysia. I experienced with them few parcels lost and they don't want to responsible, they said only can rebate for they delivery charges...

I bought my ori games from Perangin Mall last time, 4th floor the Altec-blabla-something, is just opposite of the lift. And yes they mainly sell *ahem* version but they shelved the ori one behind thier counter. You need to ask them for the stock.
But then I end up buying with pbbseller online now because it's less hassle (waiting skynet come to your house is better than drive to Komtar area) |

I also live at penang island and mostly i buy games from The Software Boutique and YouBeli for quite a while and it doesn't fail me at all. Their postage is quite efficient on time after release.
right now I'm waiting for my Elder Scroll 5 skyrim to arrive at saturday. |

They carry a few original titles just to fool the cops when they get raid. When I was a student I used to frequent 1Stop (Zone Technology and Multisoft) haha which are dead beyond resurrection because of Steam discounts. Still remember queuing up to buy the pirated version of Doom 3 haha. Those were the days...But then I end up buying with pbbseller online now because it's less hassle (waiting skynet come to your house is better than drive to Komtar area) QUOTE(chriswoo @ Nov 10 2011, 11:33 AM) I also live at penang island and mostly i buy games from The Software Boutique and YouBeli for quite a while and it doesn't fail me at all. I initially started with PCGame.com.my and then switched to TSB.right now I'm waiting for my Elder Scroll 5 skyrim to arrive at saturday. QUOTE(skylinelover @ Dec 6 2011, 10:22 PM) why any penang forumer here dont want 2 start up ori biznez like pbbseller in the southern region Considering how pbbseller can cover the entire country & how dominating his presence in LYN is, I think it's gonna be a very uphill battle to establish one, even in the northern region of peninsular Malaysia. haha what 2 do |
