last time i went to 222 branch, with shorts and crocs slipper, no one want to entertain me and my wife.

we look see look see ourselves and tried to sit inside a few models, we were planning to get either Jetta or Passat or Sirocco.

after that one young chap came, quite handsome and smart looking guy, came to me and explain to me lots of thing, trying to assist me to calculate thing, give recommendation and all that, i would say excellent service. he offered me to test the car before making decision which i did, satisfied with the car.

in the end i told him i need time to consider, will get back to him if i wanna buy.

i din go to 222 to buy, not because of the guy, he was excellent. but heard review about that branch, and when i was there no one even wanna entertain me. i had feeling im second class citizen there.

i went to Ipoh branch and buy my VW smile.gif nice guy to serve me, his name is S*M. when i step inside that showroom, easily 3 sales agent were free, they saw me and they continue to chit chat, i was wearing shorts with slippers too haha. so again i was looked down by the sales agent. but S*M was good, he approach me and explain lots of thing, i went to see Sharan, and he did great job in explaining, insert the car key and show me the in car entertainment stuff.

recommended sales agent at Ipoh branch.

now waiting for my car, which i will be getting it tmr smile.gif heart beat 200!! so excited

although i know that there will be local Passat / Jetta, but i'm still willing to go for fully imported Jetta (just bought and got my car last friday)

honestly, no regret of paying RM150k for it, the interior is relatively smaller than Camry but the driving experience is excellent. i got 2011 camry 2.4 but after tried Jetta, i prefer Jetta more especially highway.

Camry is more comfortable as it uses leather seat, but the power from Jetta is wonderful

not sure about the quality and driving experience can be the same quality as the imported one, maybe need to test drive before u make decision

might want to trade Camry to Passat / Sirocco / Audi TT smile.gif

I faced the same issue previously. It takes about 1 week to 2 weeks before they can clear the car at port.

is normal to accumulate dust and etc, my SA help me send for good car wash before deliver to me

QUOTE(Vinceyang @ Jun 7 2012, 09:21 AM)
So it takes about a month from the date your car arrive the port until the clear duty date! The thing is I already get my loan approved and signed. Now waiting car to clear duty and get document to register a number plate for my car.

I wonder where they store the car during this period... Cant imagine if few week the car is store near the port. Getting balzing sunlight and errosive sea wind everyday. It would be very bad the the car  sad.gif

Any other new car owner have these experiences also please share.

i have sent mine for upgrade.

after upgrade, the gearbox is very smooth, otherwise if from Gear 1 to Gear 2, it will be chokking. now is very smooth.

as for the performance, did not really compare, i feel the same.

QUOTE(avirus79 @ Jun 26 2012, 04:01 PM)
has anyone went for the free software upgrade on the7 speed dry clutch gearbox?

if yes, how is the performance like? was the performance impacted?

the reason i'm asking is because someone told me that the performance would be affected once we upgrade it. Would like to know what are other VW member experience before i booked a time for an upgrade.

P/S: I'm sorry if this has been discuss before.

Im driving Jetta.

interior space slightly smaller than passat
build quality is good, same like other VW model. that salesman is not doing homework, ask him go home study well. Not knowing own product. U can simply google to see where is the origin of Jetta.

for interior, if you change to full leather, then u might not feel that is it Jetta, instead a Passat smile.gif

QUOTE(zenix @ Jun 27 2012, 10:43 AM)
the jetta is pretty big and spacious inside.
feels like a passat if i didn't see the badge.
hows the build quality? salesman told me its made in india.
