Hey guys,

Followed a forummer advised here before and bought a house instead of Golf first. Legal paperworks completed already. Will start paying for the house next month.

Cleared the first hurdle (my parents),now i'm buying my dream car.

I'm looking at Golf TSI hi spec.

Any idea how long will it take from booking to delivery? Because i'm scared it might take a year like the hotcake Polo GTI.

and any recommendation for which branch (good customer service, fast delivery, goodies etc.)

Since my parents in Penang and my intention of getting Penang plate number, I plan to visit Goh Brothers in Juru. So far any unpleasant experience? BTW i'm residing in Nilai.

Any heads up will be greatly appreciated. Life's too short to be too thrifty to drive Savvy for another 5 years.

jetta no DRL right? that's a shame. Expect it to be priced at least 10k lower once CKD version is out. I'm actually torn between the three too. Have been months but haven't decide which one yet.

Jetta CBU mexico RM 150k
Passat CKD pekan 170k

Seriously i don't really care if it's CBU or CKD, people talk as if the all CBUs are completely from Germany. We have Polo from South Africa and Jetta from Mexico. Does it mean the quality always better than Malaysian CKD? The argument just look plain silly to me.

i know this might draw ire from veedubbers. But i just can't make up my mind.

Should i go for vw and save only 10% of my income per month?

Or go for proton p3-21a and maintain 30% savings.

Today went to Wing Hin Autohaus in Balakong and test drive Polo Sport. It's my first time driving a VW, seriously i'm no expert in automobiles but general impression i like the car. However it feels too small, about the size of my savvy, except it has good acceleration, stable ride and smooth gear change.

The SA is new. Just one month working there. I asked her about discounts. She said the most she could give me is her commission which is RM 1k and a VW keychain. I did asked for TnG and full tank she said it might be difficult. She said doesn't mind her 1k commission because it's her first month at VW and she needs to meet her monthly target first. I pity her.

Anyway i sat in golf, it's like worlds apart. Better space, MFD, mirror light etc etc. Damn, if only i am willing to afford extra RM 400 per month for installment. After golf, i sat in Polo Sedan, boy..it is super basic. Compared to Polo and Golf cabin space is the biggest between the 3 but it just don't feel right...for that kinda money. If feels bare, the plastic feels like Persona, you can really tell the built quality. This is just my first impression, since its the test drive unit so it's open to abuse.

Ask her again about massive year end discount. She said i might have to wait until January or February. I just have missed the last 2011 polo, they sold it. For test drive unit, she tell me they are not selling any as of now, but will notify me if any models available. Price not fixed yet, of course depends on the condition of the car.

Now likely i'm gonna get golf my mom and gf vetoed. Ask me to settle down first which is next year. Damn it.

One funny thing, my Savvy have difficulty when starting the engine when i'm about to drive home. I don't know if i'm spoilt, but the car feels sluggish. haha..

Anyone know where can i get the better deal?
