Booked a polo, arriving next week.
Can i install tinted by other shop? The salesman warn me that it will void the warranty is mess up the power window.

Help help.. my 1 mth old Polo TSI (mileage less than 2k) had these problem and now it is CNY season. I really don't want to be the traffic jam creator on North South highway.

Problem 1-The EPC + check engine + anti-skid turn on. Then the car lost power and jerk. So i turn off and on, now it is back to normal. Will try to drive around before going down the highway.

Problem 2-Noticed that the air-cond not cold temporary...around 10 minutes.

History of my Polo.
During my first week.. windscreen broke. Fuel lid broke. And now this... sigh.

Is Polo only having 1 reverse light (on the left)? That is what the service centre is telling me.

my family's polo is giving us a whole lot of problem recently.
3 months ago it has a famous epc problem,manage to drive back sc and fix it within days.

And then last month, the steering start giving knocking sound when we turning left and right in a small degree.Took the car to sc, and they said they have to check with HQ whether they can disassemble it and fix it or not, and no respond till today.

And just now the whole car just wouldn't move,the gear indicator just kept flashing and the spanner tool keep flashing, called the road side assistant, only able to tow it tomorrow, luckily it spoil in my house only.

My location is in jb btw.My piece of advice for new potential owner is better think thrice before buying a polo tsi.

Im looking into buying the current Passat CC Turbo as compared to the facelift coming in May 2012. Need some bit of info urgently:

1) Does the facelift CC come with the 7 speed DSG as compared to the current 6 speed?
2) Is the chasis the same? Dimensions?
3) What other changes will there be for the facelift here in Malaysia?
4) Estimated pricing (with insurance)?
5) Heard that VW is offering RM16K discount for the current CC. Any better offers elsewhere?
6) VW's warranty is a 2+3 not a full 5 yrs warranty like the one offered by Kia. What is not covered under the additional 3 yrs warranty?

Most SA of VW dealers I've met are reasonably well and professional. Unfortunately bad apples do appear once a while. Samt81 was one bad and frustrating experience I had as a buyer.

When I made a booking for pre-reg Passat at Veemer Motor (old klang road), I was told very confidently by him that I can pay rm1800 using credit card and get full refund if I change my mind. On the spot after checking the car and test drove it, I gave my credit card and secured the unit.

Soon after a few days there was a VW promotion clearing 2011 stock at a discounted value close to this pre-reg car. So I decided to go with getting a new car instead, and did some price searching around other dealers. Found Wing Hin (Balakong) to have the best offer. Called samt81 to work out a better deal than them, since my booking already there. To my surprise, I was somewhat scolded when he said, "you take his discount and press mine, it'll never end. You go buy from there lah!". Fine. I made booking at Wing Hin and am getting my car soon.

Back to my deposit refund. I asked him (after 3 weeks) when I can get the cheque, and he blatantly lied saying he's already texted me its ready. Looking at my phone's data/voice log, it showed nothing received from him. Sh!t man. If I knew my money is ready would I still need to ask you.

Thereafter on the same day I went to find samt81 to collect my cheque. To my surprise the amount wasn't rm1800 which I paid, but there was a 'finance charge' for rm20+. I then asked him why is there a finance charge when you said its a full refund. He said, "maybe you heard me wrong last time, there's a charge if not buying". D@mn!t if I knew there's a charge I would've given a cheque or cash, no need for credit cards then. For the sake of convenience and the mention of "full refund" that samt81 promised, I paid by credit card the last time. He even had the cheek to give me a sour face.

After I gave an earful to this incompetence, heard throughout the entire office floor, a Mr Bob Ng (SM) came to assist and very kindly looked into the matter. Eventually I got back my full rm1800 deposit. So why the whole disgruntled episode that I've had to endure as a paying customer?

It is just utterly disappointing that an unscrupulous and under-handed tactic was used to work up a revenge to your customer who cancels his booking with an SA. I'm sharing here to vent a frustration from my point of view. Some may have had a good service with him. Unfortunately for me, it didn't work out that way.

Well like i said b4, ive got some time before i have to make a decision. So keeping my options open.
