Hi all the sifu, this is my first post here, hoping to get some info from all the sifus.

my golf 1.4 tsi's machatronic gave away about 1 month ago at the millege of 20k sth. had it in the SC for 3 weeks and replaced the faulty unit under warrenty. took the car back last week, but last night outta blue, my car got overheating, and the check engine light came out. right now the car is at sg.besi SC again and all they can tell me is that they are still 'checking the wiring". any sifu had any sort of similar experience?

my job requires a lot of traveling and my car is giving me a massive headache these 2 months, to the extent where i started to doubt my decision of getting it at the first place... hope all the sifu here can share some lights. thanks a lot

Yup I faced those same issues. In the end, I sold off my car. Couldn't stand having to hang around the SC so many times as well as wait so long for warranty such as the mechatronics etc..etc...etc..

so the SC didn't manage to solve all the issues for you? since you sold off your car at the end of the day... damn i thought this would be a long term car....gotta consider the possibility of selling it now...

got my car back from SC after 1 whole week of waiting... when i asked them what they did to solve the over heating issue, they told me that "they replace the fan for me"... i sincerely appreciate their help in solving the problem, but 1 whole week for a fan? it is a bit too long for me...

got the SW updated as well, but now the car feels a bit sluggish. from what i monitored, the 1st and 2nd gear engage much slower, and when in "D" mode it just don't like to downshift unless you really floor it a bit... it is a pain in the ass to be stucked in slow moving jams, as th3e gearbox keeps engaging 2nd gear and it takes time for the car to start going...
