I am from Singapore and very new to the VW world. I just want to enquire/compare on the servicing procedures/prices for VW in Malaysia. I just acquired a used 2010 MK5 Jetta 1.4 sports and was told by the VW service centre that the servicing cost for my upcoming 60000 Km is $600++. They added that every 30000 km, the car has to undergo what they call a major servicing while the alternate 15000 km which they call the minor servicing cost $200++. So the question is, is it the same procedure/cost for VW servicings in Malaysia. Before this, I used to drive japanese cars and the service centre informed that my servicing is every 10000 km instead and also I have never been charged for both minor/major servicing at that high price. Can anyone kindly enlightened me... And is it possible for me to service in Johor VW service centre instead...
