QUOTE(Kerry1136 @ Jan 27 2012, 10:09 PM) Guys, do you have issue with Golf TSI or other models where you sprint 120km/h above you feel that your right foot vibrating/shaking/rumbling a bit? Though the steering wheel has no issues, very steady on high speed but not for the bottom as I notice when high speed my foot on the acceleration pedal feel like slight vibrating, is it normal? I'm on 18" Goodyear F1 with Caractere offset 40 with centre cones installed. I really hope its not my wheels issue. Was kinda paranoia so I tried with my other car, though it had a hard time getting to 120km/h but the pedal does not make my right food vibrate. No issues like that bro, even at 200kmh. Im on stock btw

QUOTE(kikikukiki @ Feb 21 2012, 07:21 PM) golf tsi... the concern should be more about the 7s dry-clutch dsg though... coz there's a queue and mix of cars waiting for their's to be fixed as well what happened to your gearbox? common problem?

QUOTE(kikikukiki @ Feb 22 2012, 07:21 AM) mechatronic failure... apparently quite common with the 7s dry-clutch and the previous gen 6s wet-clutch even across the causeway in spore. goggle it and you'd be worried How old is your car bro? What did the SC say? Claim warranty, replace part or software update only? QUOTE Failures due to software is common. It happens to all electronics equipment. Usually a hard reset would resolve the issue unless there is a hardware faulty....then the same problem would happen again and again. I would tend to believe that continuous updates are being released by VW as we speak.
You guys with agent cars should be glad that updates are being loaded onto your car. My PI GTI have been running on 2009 software since new. No chance of any updates which I am sure there are but the local agent charges $$3000 just to look at the car.....part of their adoption program. That is the problem with parallel imports....the people do not know the vehicle well enough or do not have the necessary skill to do critical repairs and diagnosis. Just change and change parts to try resolve the issue.
My GTI mk5 2009 was running up the ram from the tunnel one evening and suddenly I notice the engine speed became very high...was reving at about 6000 rpm running at 40 kmph...and the PRND sign on the MFD was flashing.....had to continue driving even at this very high engine rpm because the ramp was a single lane and there was cars behind me.....after which I pulled up on the Emergency Lane . I thought the Megatronics was a goner ! Switch off and restarted....everything was back to normal. Later I vagcom to find that there was an error in the Transmission 5th solenoid "pressure limit exceeded" ..... not present. Cleared the code and it never happened again after some 6 months later.
