So far, this 2 model have attract my intention.
Which one is better?

Kenwood DDX4038BT

Kenwood DDX6036

The price that i've been quote for both is:-
Kenwood DDX4038BT - RM1,600
Kenwood DDX6036 - RM2,000

I've been quoted that price from the shop at Shah Alam.
Is that price right? Or i can get it cheaper at other place?

My budget mostly is RM1,500 to RM2,200.
I know the higher price of LCD would means better quality/function but what concern me is the value of money.
If RM1,500 is good enough to get good HU, i don't need to stretch my budget until RM2,200.

MY CHOICE NOT JUST STICK WITH THIS 2 MODEL ONLY.
IF ANYONE HAVE BETTER SUGGESTION AND OPTION AROUND PRICE RANGE, PLEASE SUGGESTING ME.

why get a kenwood HU?

the stock Kenwood HU that comes with my Mitsu ASX (same for Pajero Sport & Triton) is very lousy & has poor interface

very hard to use while driving

Hurm i don't know. When i ask about LCD HU, people always recommend Kenwood.
Seems like Kenwood is really trusted brand and pretty reliable.
Anyway, what model of your HU? Any suggestion of good model HU for my price range?

the HU on my ASX is pretty lousy... but if you use winamp for your windows, then i guess it's OK

but if you are too used to foobar2k, the kenwood HU UI is just bad. plain bad,

Some worker at the car audio shop also suggesting me alpine brand but i didn't bother with his suggestion since my head just thinking about Kenwood (or maybe Pioneer only) Need to make more survey about Alpine brand after this.

Any specific model for my price range? Or did i really need to raise up my budget to get good quality HU
I hope other people can give their opinion base on their experience too. Come one share your experience

for HU its basically alpine or pioneer. 2din/lcd ones are VERY expensive from pioneer/alpine, hence why people look elsewhere. that said, you get what you pay for. want quality, prepare to pay

if budget up to 2.2k only can forget about pioneer and alpine. others would be panasonic, jvc, clarion and sony. but kenwood is good osso...

I got quoted RM2.5k for alpine HU from some worker of audio accessory shop.
I think that the most cheapest LCD alpine around. Damn i forgot the detail of model

i dunno about others... buti would buy alpine DVD HU not for the DVD and screens, i wan it for the compatibility with the processors without needing to buy the controller...

in simple english, i would buy alpine for the sound... not the LCD screen...

if i wan a simple DVD player with screen.. not for sound tweaking and compatibility, kenwood and pioneer would be my choice...

too bad eclipse went out of business already... if not, thats my first choice...

if can get alpine at 2500 then go for it la, probly w202 old model, used to be 2800

I still don't know and confuse. Wonder Kenwood around RM1.5k to RM2k is worth to get or not.
Or did Pioneer is definitely better choice than Kenwood? Pioneer also got LCD HU under RM2k too

Anyway, I never mention what i expect from this HU.
I hope the sound quality at least on par with my current stock Inspira HU (If better, that bonus )
The screen display should be in acceptable par and good QC.

Before deciding to buy this LCD HU, i never expect i need to spend much money to get good quality HU.

Did this OEM Lancer LCD HU is gooding. The price not too expensive. Around RM1,800 only.
Or should i buy other brand LCD?
