Just got my copy of COD : MW3. Tried to install it but the installer stuck at 3884 mb and the time remaining keeps increasing...

and my dvd driver have a ticking sound when it reach the 3884 mb mark...thought it would be disk problem but it isnt as i have two copy of the game...

DVD reader issue? How about making an image out of it and run from there? Worse come to worse just use the cd-key to redeem from steam and DL from steam.

try to take out the disc and put it in again(do not close the installer window)
