liquidsny... is not only buy expensive model. most important aspect is that it's within your budget and you're happy. no point buying expensive stuff only to put yourself heavily in debt. some people just love building their own models while others it's because of budget constraints. whatever it is, this hobby caters for all from hobbyboss kits to century wings icon_rolleyes.gif

although I do understand that cheaper trumpeter has less part to build making it too easy. the more the parts the more fun building models

well, it depends. some people pay more attention to the detailing rather than the number of parts. i mean some even repaint complete models for real-life accuracy. admire you guys who have the patience and precision to build the models (and dioramas). i'm hopeless at that so gotto depend on diecasts for my military jet fix...

WingNut, same here. I have terrible skills and I find the plastic kit don't last long, the one I built more than 5 years ago is starting to "rapuh"

the man from down under has surfaced rclxms.gif

terrible skills is still better than no skills. i once used an oil-based spray paint and you can guess what that did to my plastic model! macam kena napalm.

anyway, that said, even diecasts come with some plastic parts... although generally the quality is better than hobby kits.
