I've been searching over the internet about this HU Blaupunkt new york 800 but somehow less review and comments. Is anybody of you guys using or experienced with this HU? Looking forward for some comments especially in term of sound quality.. Thanks!

What if this HU, blaupunkt new york 800 vs alpine iva w520 ?

branded player dun have much sound difference with the player themself...unless u connect them to their processor which support a lot more tuning features, then it make the difference. btw, both player are not in same price range...so it's a bit hard to compare

Hurm talking bout the processor, alpine got the processor like PXA-H100 but blaukpunkt don't have any.. or is it built in already?

Instead of alpine W520, which model is comparable with new york 800?

520 use h100 is just waste of money la....to me la....

if u wan to add in processor, get pioneer or alpine..if not, any branded mm hu sound identical....nothing much difference. by getting mm hu, normally consider the features first...cos it's a mm hu.

geez, looks like an old kenwood or clarion to me, 6 inch screen with knob on the side. current dvd players have full 7inch with touchscreen and maybe some tiny buttons at the bottom.

if u need navigation go for kenwood, they have an add on garmin gps receiver but will cost u 5k++.
alpine with navigation will also end up at 5k++ category.

if u dont need navigation, dvd players start around 2-3k, u can get panasonic, jvc, clarion and kenwood. 3-4k u will get the higher end units from jvc, kenwood, pioneer and alpine.
