My renovation is almost done, but despite the canvas protector my parquet flooring is rather scratched. How much per sq feet will it cost to polish?

2 types.

1. Bare sanding - around RM 6-7 per SF - removes all scratches, old coating, indentations, uneven surfaces and floor will be like new. Usually 2 coats of sealant, 2 coats of PU and 1 coat of stain (optional) for uniform gradient (all surface will have same colour).

2. Light sanding (or buffing) - around RM 4-5 per SF - only removes light scratches. Does not remove old coating. Only will prepare surface for new coating. Deep scratches and indentations will remain.

Price depends on type of coating. Usually higher price for imported water-based PU coating. For locally-made coating, cheaper but will never last more than 2 years.
